✨Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month✨
These humans are capable of so many things. They are highly skilled, specialised and integral part of the team.
RVN's make it happen. Your pet needs blood work done? An RVN is usually the one drawing the blood and then running the bloods in our lab.
Blood pressured monitoring required? Nurses have set-up through the back (or the consult room) ready to take these measurements.
Your animal is getting an operation performed under anaesthesia? Yup, its an RVN that will be monitoring their anaesthetic.
RVN's work under the direction of the vet at all times to care for patients. 🩺

Meet our RVN, Lucy!

"I graduated as a vet nurse in 2025 July.
Starting as an animal care assistant in emergency out of hours helped developed my interest in providing critical care for patients, sparked my love for nursing animals and to become a vet nurse.

I really enjoy monitoring anaesthetics and recovering patients to ensure they get the care they need.
Love working with animals big and small.

I have an Interest in dog behaviour and training, I do my best to train my own dog Murphy (wired fox terrier).
In my free time I enjoy horse riding, video games, going on walks with my dog and socialising with friends."

This month we will be displaying all things vet nurse related. You’ll be able to get a feel for what these highly skilled individuals actually do in the practice every single day.
