⚠️ IMPORTANT BIOSECURITY NOTICE ⚠️
Protecting Our Horses & The Wider Equine Community.
Due to the ongoing risks associated with Equine Influenza (Equine Flu), a highly contagious respiratory disease, we kindly ask all competitors, owners and visitors attending SFE to remain vigilant and follow our biosecurity requirements at all times.
The health, welfare and safety of all horses on site remains our priority, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping reduce the risk of disease transmission.
📌 PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
✔️ ALL horses attending site must have current and compliant vaccinations.
✔️ ALL passports must be presented and will be checked on arrival.
❌ Horses without valid vaccinations will NOT be permitted on site and will be asked to leave immediately.
❌ Anyone without a passport must NOT unload their horse or enter any facilities.
We ask all horse owners and handlers to act responsibly and help protect the wider equine community:
🔸DO NOT attend if your horse, or any horse on your yard, is showing ANY signs of illness, viral symptoms or is unwell in any way.
🔸Horses should be returned to the box parking between classes and not congregated in groups around the facilities.
🔸No hand grazing is permitted anywhere on site by visiting horses.
🔸Competitors are advised to maintain respectful distance from others where possible.
🔸Please DO NOT allow direct contact between visiting horses/handlers and any horses housed on site in fields or stables.
🔸NO ACCESS is permitted to our on-site stables at any time.
🔸Any suspected illness must be reported immediately.
🔸Additional biosecurity measures may be implemented if risk levels increase.
Maintaining high standards of vigilance and biosecurity is essential in protecting ALL horses within our equine community.
Thank you for your continued cooperation, understanding and commitment to equine health and welfare. 🧡
Our resident horses are being monitored and regularly having their temperatures checked.
