This is awful, please please, can all my clients make sure that if your dog has been in a river before coming to clinic you have bathed them thoroughly 🙏 I will not be having dogs coming into the treadmill if they appear to or smell like they have been on river water. I really don't want to be in the position this poor lady is in where she is having to shut her doors permanently because of a bug like black algae 😔😔😔😔
We have been having problems with the pool for the last few months. Sadly, it has been inadvertently infected by a dog that has been in a river and the resultant bug (only found in rivers) has proved impossible to remove. It has been emptied twice and had a deep clean and the last time had chemicals put in it that were extra strong and we were told would cure the problem. Yesterday we could see that the problem was returning again after just a few weeks of reopening and the pool people have been here today to have another look at it. We can see today that it has also actually spread from where it started. We have been advised that it is now in the plastic of the pool and so we are left with no option but to shut the pool permanently. We are truly gutted but we have to always keep the welfare of the dogs in mind. The only option now is to have a new pool and there is no way we can afford that. So it is with great regret that I have to inform you that we can no longer continue to swim the dogs with immediate effect. Thank you to all of the clients that have used the pool over the years. We are very grateful to everyone
