I just want to say how proud I am of little Rue this bank holiday weekend 💕

She has done incredibly well in the show ring, and watching how much we’ve bonded and grown together has been so rewarding. Over the three shows we achieved some amazing results including Best Puppy in Breed, Puppy Group 3, and Firsts and Seconds at Championship Show level. We’ve now qualified for Crufts at every show we’ve attended so far 🐩✨

She’s growing into such a beautiful dog with a very bright future ahead of her.

I still have so much to learn with poodles from handling and banding to all the prep that goes into these dogs, but I absolutely love it. It’s a lot of work but so rewarding and such a fun hobby to focus on!

As many of you know, Kali is now out of the show ring and taking life very easy as she is due to have her puppies next week 🤍 She’s feeling quite tired now, especially in this warm weather, and is enjoying keeping cool on the hardwood floors at home. We’re hoping for a safe arrival of some fit and healthy puppies very soon.

My priority over the next few weeks is making sure Kali has everything she needs during whelping and the first few days with her puppies, hence why I have had more limited availability throughout June.

At the moment, my next available appointments are looking to be in July, so please bear this in mind when booking. Thank you all so much for your understanding, support and patience 💕

Why I barely post on social media anymore…

Sometimes I look back at where I started with my grooming business and honestly can’t believe how much has changed.

When I first started grooming, I took before and after photos of every single dog and replied to every message instantly because I was desperate to build something for myself and make it work. Four years ago I used to sit worrying about whether I’d have enough dogs booked in that week, whether I’d make ends meet, and whether I was actually good enough to do this.

There were a lot of tears, a lot of self doubt, and a lot of pressure behind the scenes, but I still got up every day, kept learning, kept improving, and kept pushing myself even on the days I wanted to give up.

Now four years later life looks completely different. Most days are non stop between grooming, training, showing, messages, admin and trying to keep on top of everything behind the scenes. I barely even think to post on social media anymore because the days just disappear.

I’m still learning every single day and I feel like I’ve got such an exciting career ahead of me, which honestly makes me even more grateful for how far I’ve already come and everything I’ve built after the last four years.

But I’m so grateful for every single client who has trusted me with their dogs and supported my little business over the years because none of this came from luck. It came from hard work, consistency, sacrifice, and never giving up on something I cared so much about.

So never believe everything you see on social media because quiet socials definitely do not mean a quiet business 🤍

As I have some exciting news….

Kali is expecting puppies due at the beginning of June! 🐾 To help manage everything, I’ll be moving back to Timberscombe while still continuing to offer both dog grooming and training services.

To make sure I can give both my clients and the puppies the care and attention they need, I’ll be spacing dogs out more throughout the day rather than booking back-to-back appointments.

I’ll really appreciate everyone’s help during this busy but exciting time:

• Please book appointments ahead where possible
• Arrive on time (not too early or too late if you can help it!)
• Keep flea treatments fully up to date
• Please collect dogs at their allocated collection time — dogs left beyond their arranged pickup time may incur an additional charge, as my own animals and puppies will need my attention too

Hi everyone 😊

With the warmer weather arriving, I naturally receive a much higher number of enquiries especially from new clients or those who don’t visit regularly. I just wanted to share a polite reminder for all existing customers.

Please book your next appointment in person with me before leaving your current appointment whenever possible. This really helps keep things running smoothly, as it isn’t physically possible for me to reply to every enquiry straight away.

Recently I’ve had a lot of repeated calls and messages across multiple platforms within short periods of time. Please remember my automatic replies ask you to allow 3–5 days for a response (this can depend on weekends and workload). If you haven’t heard back after that, you’re very welcome to send a gentle reminder.

Booking messages are answered Monday–Friday only.
I don’t normally respond to bookings at weekends unless I happen to be working through my diary on a Sunday evening, so please avoid late Friday night or Sunday calls/messages and treat this as you would any other business.

I currently work with around 150–200 dogs and owners every month between grooming and training, and as a one-person business I truly appreciate your patience and organisation it helps me stay organised for you too.

🐾 Beginner Dog Training Classes – Limited Spaces! 🐾

I have ONLY 2 SPACES LEFT on my upcoming beginner dog training course starting next week!

This course is suitable for puppies and dogs of all ages (please note: I do not take reactive dogs for these group sessions).

✨ What we’ll cover:
• Recall
• Lead walking
• Eye contact & engagement
• Sit, stay & basic obedience
• Fun skills & confidence building
• Real-life training in a field with distractions

🐶 Small, supportive groups of 6–8 dogs max so everyone gets plenty of attention.

📅 Course Dates (6 weeks, 1 hour per session):
• 14th April – 5:30pm
• 21st April – 5:30pm
• 27th April – 5:30pm
• 5th May – 5:30pm
• 12th May – 5:30pm
• 19th May – 5:30pm

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Easter! 🐣

Just a quick update… My online booking system crashed on Thursday evening, and I’ve been busy over the bank holiday weekend, so I’m a bit behind on messages. I’ll be getting back to everyone throughout this week 🐶

If you have an appointment booked and don’t receive a text reminder 48 hours before, please let me know as something may have gone wrong on my end.

On a positive note, here’s a photo of my second ever poodle trim done entirely with scissors ✂️ I had a little practice session with Rue on Easter Sunday. Definitely a long way to go, but I’m really enjoying learning all the different poodle trims!

Little update from the weekend ✨

My first time exhibiting at Crufts 2026 definitely didn’t disappoint! Considering Kali had a back injury less than a week ago and the last couple of weeks have been really tough, I honestly wasn’t even sure we’d make it. But she recovered brilliantly and still managed to strut her stuff on that famous green carpet – I couldn’t be prouder of her. 💚

A huge congratulations to all my friends who placed over the four days, especially Angela today with Lola placing in both of her classes – such a proud moment for our Cocker family. And of course, just qualifying for Crufts is an achievement in itself for everyone who made it there.

Please bear with me while I catch up on messages. I’ve been away since Friday and have come back to being quite overwhelmed and inundated with enquiries. I will get back to everyone as soon as I can, but if you haven’t heard from me by Wednesday, please feel free to send me a gentle reminder.
