We've been supporting one of our grooms during her degree, to do research on horses and how they are housed. She compared our horses when they live out during the summer as a herd and then in our barns during winter months. It was a really interesting study and differences in the housing set ups did show some difference (such as more face pulling), but crucially showed that none of our horses showed any stereotypical behaviours. We've always believed that our horses have been content in our set up, allowing them to behave more naturally than if they were kept in stables, and now we have the research to prove it. Needless to say she got a first, congratulations Jess we are all so proud of what you achieved 👏
