With the warmer weather here, we’re once again prioritising horse welfare by moving training sessions into the cooler evenings

Our fully lit arena allows riders to train comfortably later into the evening, keeping horses happier, cooler and more focused throughout their sessions.

TRAIN WITH EMILY LOCHORE

We’re delighted to welcome Emily Lochore Equestrian to Harling Wood Stud on Sunday 19th July.

Emily is a highly respected international event rider who has competed at numerous 5★ events including Badminton and Burghley, represented Great Britain at Junior and Young Rider level, and won a Team Gold Medal. Alongside her riding career, Emily is the British Eventing Eastern Region Lead Coach and a BE UKCC Level 3 Coach, with extensive experience coaching riders across all levels.

This clinic is tailored for all abilities, from polework and dressage through to those wanting to focus on their eventing performance. Training will be adapted to suit each horse and rider combination, with the clinic including Jump 4 Joy arena eventing style fences.

• Shared session (2 or 3 riders) – £50 per rider
• Individual session – £65 per rider
• All sessions are 1 hour long

We’re delighted to welcome JL Equestrian Coach to Harling Wood Stud on Sunday 5th July for a day of Rider Biomechanics training.

Whether you’re looking to improve your position, develop clearer communication with your horse, build confidence, or gain a better understanding of how your body influences your horse’s way of going, this clinic is suitable for riders of all levels.

The sessions are based around the Ride With Your Mind principles focusing on:

Gold Livery Just Got Better!

From June, use of our equine treadmill is now included for all Gold Livery horses.

With an incline function, the treadmill is fantastic for replicating hill work, helping horses develop strength, topline and hindquarter engagement.

It’s also an excellent rehabilitation tool. Unlike a horse walker, the treadmill works horses in a straight line rather than on a circle, promoting balanced muscle development and allowing controlled, consistent exercise.

Equine Influenza Statement

There has recently been an increase in Equine Influenza (flu) cases reported across England. As a result, we kindly ask all clients, visitors and competitors attending Harling Wood Stud to please adhere to the following guidance:

🐴 All visiting horses attending clinics, arena hire or events should be vaccinated in line with current governing body recommendations. Vaccination records may be requested upon arrival.

🐴 If your horse is showing any signs of illness, including coughing, nasal discharge, temperature or lethargy, please do not attend the yard under any circumstances.

🐴 Where possible, please minimise unnecessary contact between horses and avoid allowing horses to touch others on the yard.

🐴 Please do not graze horses anywhere on site unless specifically instructed to do so.

🐴 We kindly ask that visitors remain within the designated areas of the yard and respect that the private livery areas are not open to the public.

🐴 Good hygiene practices are encouraged at all times, including cleaning equipment and washing hands between handling horses.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding in helping us keep all horses at Harling Wood Stud safe and healthy.
