Stud season 2026 has started for most people but will be a much quieter one for us this year.
The only stallion on the stud these days is our own retired boy Icefyre who at the moment is nannying a rather large 11 month old c**t and having a lovely time.
With the current economic climate as it is we have left our broodmares empty and our livery mares have also all been retired.
It’s been nice to have a quiet winter and be able to spend more time with family.
Our 2 four year olds have recently gone off to learn what life is about which just leaves us with our own horses.
But stud season has started and we do have space for a small number of foaling mares and mares for AI
So please contact us if you are looking for somewhere to send your mares.
The eventing season has also started and Tout Noisette has started the season amazingly with 2 double clears in a 100 plus and 105 in her preparation for the grass roots final at Badminton.
So a short and sweet update but just a reminder that we are still here and do have some availability.

The lovely Mildenberger departed home yesterday signalling the end of the 2025 stud season.
Now to concentrate on getting the foals and youngstock organised.
All 5 foals and 2 x 3 year olds will be looking for new 🏡 this autumn.
Some absolutely top class stock directly related to international horses.
We are starting viewings in a couple of weeks , some of which are already booked and at the moment in time we are just finalising prices.

Finally the 5th and final Groomsbridge baby has arrived.
11 days late which is usual for this mare so we anticipated it would be another c**t and so it is.
Very tall and elegant with the smallest and curliest button ears I have ever seen.
This c**t is by top young PS stallion Conkanno and the dam sire is our lovely and much missed Sadlers Wells stallion “High Tension “
Real quality TB blood we’re looking forward to seeing this chap uncrumpled himself.
Another from the dam line of all the best horses we have bred.

Another blingy Florence baby arrived at 1am this morning.
He’s very crumpled and very large but we are thrilled to have our 2nd Diarado c**t safely on the ground.
This one is 3/4 brother to Grand Espoir and very much in his mould already.
But I’m crying because all these c**ts mean I can’t keep any of them 🥹
Was desperate for one of them to be a filly.

Another striking Duplexx foal arrived a week ago.
Very impressed with the 2 foals we have by him.
This c**t is now a week old and impresses more each day.
His dam is maternal half sister to Grand Espoir who had another top 10 result at Ballindenisk at the weekend in the 2* class with yet another double clear.
It is also the immediate family of Tout Chocolat so bred for the top.
Very exciting things to come from this family.

I’ve been very lax at taking pics and videos of the horses this year.
Lots of reasons but just not got round to it as always seem to be doing something else.
This comical clip is of our own first foal born this year and she is now 2 months old.
Just love this filly by Duplexx and from the dam line of Tout Chocolat and Grand Espoir.
Her reaction to seeing the lorry come up the road is priceless.
She’s such a brave filly.

Today we waved goodbye to Whistlejacket’s Kings Tribute as he heads off to his new home for the season collecting for his mares.
Quick picture below of him having a quick bath before departing.
His departure brings about a big end of an era for us.
Having collected from stallions since we bought our first stallion Tout Ensemble in 1997 we have decided to end that part of the business.
With no stallion of our own to collect from anymore it seemed the logical thing to do and all of the equipment has now found a new home so no going back.
The 2 TB boys Mildenberger and Legends of war are still here and will be available all season by natural cover.
Both stallions already have there first mares scanned in foal.
We’re also looking forward to a busy phase of foaling starting again very soon.
So we’re here for everything else as usual just not collecting from stallions any longer.
