🏡 URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR SYLVESTER 🏡

📍 Sylvester needs to move within the next 3 weeks.

Sylvester is a handsome, affectionate boy who is nearly 2 years old and urgently needs a new foster home after spending the last year with his current foster family.

He’s a dog who absolutely loves his people. Whether you’re working from home, relaxing on the sofa or pottering around the house, Sylvester simply wants to be by your side. He forms incredibly strong bonds and is happiest when he’s included in everyday life.

Because of his past, Sylvester has separation anxiety, so we’re looking for a foster home where someone is home for most of the day. He needs consistency, reassurance and a family willing to help him continue building his confidence.

Over the past year we’ve learned so much about what helps Sylvester thrive. He currently lives in a busy multi-dog foster home and, while he has coped incredibly well, we feel he would flourish in a quieter environment.

⭐ Sylvester’s ideal foster home would be:
🐾 A calm home where someone is around for most of the day.
🐾 Ideally as the only dog, where he can enjoy having his people to himself.
🐾 We would also consider a home with one calm, compatible resident dog, provided introductions are managed carefully and both dogs have their own space if needed.
🐾 A patient family who will give him time to settle and decompress.

This isn’t an emergency yet—but it will become one if we can’t find the right foster home soon.

We’ve recently had urgent dogs waiting over a month for foster offers, and sadly, Sylvester doesn’t have that luxury. He needs to move within the next three weeks, and we’d much rather find him the right home now than be searching in desperation as his deadline approaches.

📍 Sylvester is currently based in Crawley, West Sussex, but transport can be arranged to the right foster home. Please don’t let distance stop you from getting in touch.

Sylvester has waited patiently for a year. Let’s not let him become another last-minute rescue crisis.

If I ask you, why did you choose that dog or that breed ?
Most have similar reasons.
But does anyone ask themselves, what does my dog want ?
What if my dog does not reach my expectations? Do I put them through more training, try to change them, squash their personalities, give up and give them away, or do I accept that they are what they are, a different species, who doesn’t speak our language, has flaws , just like we do.
We have bred the pet dog to be perpetually childish, so why do we not accept that we have to acknowledge that the dog we view in our mind might not be the dog we live with.
