ππApprentice Update ππ
Miss Pickle the Parson has been keeping herself very busy outside of the salon and has been up to all sorts since our last update.
She's had plenty of days out and about and has been to the beach β±οΈ several times now as well as Tollymore Forest Park π². Every outing is embraced with the same enthusiasm as an Olympic athlete on speed whilst grinning from ear to ear. π You gotta love her never ending zest for life.π
This week we even went to work with Andrew on Friday! We'd a mini road trip to Donaghadee, Groomsport, and Bangor where we met a couple of Andrew's work colleagues. They loved her...obviously π₯°. Pickle was super well behaved in the coffee shop and is learning to settle while I stuff my face with caramel squares. βοΈπ (Don't worry she has her own treatos)
Afterwards we had a walk between the showers along the promenade in Bangor and, yes, we visited the Pickie Park too. LOL π¦’β΅οΈβοΈ
Two weeks ago saw the start of our second set of training classes. These being the Mutley Crew Adolescence classes held by the amazing Yvonne at The Daisy Dog Academy in Glenavy. They're for the juvenile delinquents who've turned into teenagers and forgotten all their puppy training π€£. It's a bit of a journey to get there but I can't recommend Yvonne highly enough. I've done lots of classes over the years with Yvonne and she's fantastic. A natural with dogs and just "gets" each and every one of them. Pickle is really growing in confidence now thanks to these latest classes.π₯°π₯°
This coming week sees her start her scentwork journey with the wonderful Nikki and Paula at Beechgrove Doggy Fun Park, Behaviour & Training Centre
Being a working breed it's very important to keep that genius mind of hers occupied with structured activities or she'll simply just entertain herself and nobody wants that π (We've had 6 years of Margo so know all about what happens when they get bored ππ€£)
All I'll say is, good luck ladies and let the games begin. π€£
Oh, and I've started teaching Pickle to ring a bell π So far she's had no time to stand still long enough to concentrate on the job in hand..... however I've inadvertently taught Tilly to do it by default so I'll take that win. π€£
.....And this is why she sleeps all day in work π΄π΄π΄
