Canine Gems is a behaviour and training consultancy based in and around the Swansea area, also covering Neath, Port Talbot and Llanelli. We provide blocks of training classes (6 and 8 weeks), one to one training sessions and behavioural consultations tailored to meet the specific needs of you and your pet. Training classes include:
- Puppy Primary (From 10 weeks)
- Puppy Progress (After puppy prim

ary graduation)
- Canine College (Adult training classes)
- Agility Academy (Beginner and Intermediate fun agility classes). I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour and am working towards becoming a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist.

Lovely training session on Saturday to mark the last class until September.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported classes, times are not easy at the moment especially when I cant run evening classes due to the little people. I really appreciate all of your support 🙌

Ill be sorting dates for September Saturday sessions, and Thursday/Friday classes over the next few weeks. All of those that have enquired ill be back in touch ASAP ❤️

Just a quick update on upcoming classes for July for those interested in joining.....

🐶 Saturday 5th July - CANCELLED DUE TO LOW NUMBERS

🐶 Friday 11th July - Friday Training Club

🐶 Saturday 19th July - Saturday training session

In September the baby of our family will be starting full time school. This means ill be looking for part time work as its become clear over the past few weeks that I can no longer run Canine Gems as my only income. All of the no shows and last minute cancellations are crippling me as a business.

Friday Training Club will be back in September and there will be some Saturday sessions too. However other availability will likely be much more limited which means ill be looking to book things in further in advance.

Ill still be here, but I wont have as much spare time as before unfortunately.

Thank you to those who have always supported me 🙌 you've made my dreams come true over the past 10 years ♥️

So frustrating to have to have this rant again.... but here we go!!

Please, please, do not take up a class space if you are not sure if you can attend. This afternoon alone, with 3.5 days to go until this week's Saturday session, 3 people have messaged me to cancel. Just to put that into perspective, thats half of the class......thats also half of my income 😢i cant tell you how sad and frustrated this makes me. Trusting people and then being let down last minute. There's no way these spaces will be filled this short notice.

From now on all sessions will have to go back to payment in advance. This is my only job, and what pays my bills, and I just cannot continue like this. For some reason, in all of my years of being self employed, this year has been the worst for last minute cancellations and no shows 😔
