I'm looking for a dog to join me at a grooming competition on Sunday 5th July for workshop Intermediate!

I'm ideally looking for:
✂️ A poodle cross with a woolly coat (preferably)
✂️ Due (or overdue!) a groom
✂️ Happy to stay for a sleepover for a night or two
✂️ Happyish to be groomed

They'll receive a FREE bath and groom and spend the day being my competition superstar. ⭐

Cymru Groom 2026 ✂️❤️

No place for us in Workshop Open or Jackpot this time, but we had a great day and learned so much!

The morning was Workshop Open with Teddy, who very clearly hates having his photo taken 😂 This was my first time competing in Open, so losing that extra half hour definitely kicked my butt a little. It was also Teddy's first competition, and we had a few little hiccups along the way, but we got through it. I'm really pleased with how he turned out, and we received some great feedback. As always, I'm already itching to tweak the bits I wasn't completely happy with. He also has shaved poodle feed under thoose legs 🤫 think about trying Teds out again and curling his ears?!

In the afternoon, we took Doozer into Jackpot to try our luck. The class was packed with some incredibly talented competitors, so we knew it would be a tough one. Wasn't overly happy as I have done her face better in the past! I was a little gutted as I'd been under the impression that colour and glitter weren't allowed, which definitely would have helped Doozer's tutu and flower stand out a bit more 🙄 Especially as she's gone a little thin on top after her season!

One whole year of competing done already 🤯 Looking back, I'm so proud of how far we've come in such a short space of time. A little competition journey roundup is coming soon ❤️

🚨PLEASE READ🚨
I'm not quite sure why I have to keep saying this, and if I'm honest, I'm getting tired of doing so.

My days off are Sunday and Monday. Like everyone else, I deserve my time off. However, I still spend a significant portion of those days organising appointments, creating content, writing posts, answering messages, managing paperwork, and running the behind-the-scenes side of the business.

Imagine spending 4/5+ hours working on your day off every week. Most people wouldn't be happy about that.

I don't mind doing those things because I genuinely love my job and I appreciate every single one of my clients.

What I do mind is the increasing number of messages becoming aggressive when a reply hasn't been received within a few hours. Sending multiple messages in a day, or messages containing only "?????" or "HELLO?!" will not get you a faster response.

The reality is, I do not have to answer messages outside of my working hours at all. Yet I do. Every message answered after 6pm, every message replied to on a Sunday or Monday, every Facebook post, every TikTok, every bit of admin done in the evenings is time I am choosing to give to my business and my clients outside of my working hours.

I am one person running a business. Alongside grooming, I'm planning a wedding and honeymoon, volunteering, studying Levels 3, 4 and 5 in behaviour and training, competing in grooming competitions, and managing an autoimmune condition that already takes a lot of my energy.

Some weekends I'm away competing and investing in my education to become a better groomer for your dogs. Other weekends, I simply want to rot on the sofa with my own dogs, watch rubbish TV, and switch off from work for a couple of days. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Please remember that I am a person before I am a business.

Messages will be answered as soon as possible, but repeated messages and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. If this continues, it may result in me declining future appointments altogether.
