We hope you’re all making the most of this lovely bank holiday weekend ☀️

But, please be don’t walk your dogs in this heat, especially during the hottest part of the day - which amazes me every year at the amount of dogs still being walked!

Signs of heatstroke can include 👇🏼
🐾 Excessive panting
🐾 Drooling
🐾 Bright red gums
🐾 Lethargy / weakness
🐾 Vomiting / diarrhoea
🐾 Collapse or confusion

If the worst was to happen…
🚨 Move your dog somewhere cool & shaded immediately
🚨 Offer small amounts of cool (not ice cold) water
🚨 Use cool water on paws, belly & body.
🚨 Get veterinary help as soon as possible, heatstroke can sadly become life threatening very quickly.

Whatever you do, do not cover your dog with a wet towel if they have heat stroke, it can worsen their condition.

Top tip? 💛
Early morning walks, late evening strolls, enrichment games, frozen treats, paddling pools & enrichment feeds are much safer ways to keep them happy in this weather 👍🏼

We have had a move around due to having a 3rd prime raw freezer. Prime is now where the yellow arrows are. Pawkies is the very back two freezer under the mural.

Good morning 🌅

With the heatwave over the next week, the unit is going to get incredibly warm as it’s like a greenhouse. Taking into account 18 freezers we have, they will all be working harder and producing more heat.
Please can you make sure all freezer lids are closed properly 🥶

In other news we have also added a 3rd prime raw freezer so we can offer even more of their range! It’s all set up and down to temperature ready to be filled with more stock 🥩

It’s also Saturday meaning we are open 9-4pm 💛

Half of our prime delivery arrived yesterday, no idea when the next half is arriving 🙃

Durham is also due this morning.

I’m back in the shop tomorrow, I can’t lie I’ve missed being in the shop. Definitely looking forward to some normality! Not just that the sunshine has followed us back, we’re in for a heatwave ☀️
