Introduce your small dog to family members slowly to avoid overwhelming them during Christmas gatherings...

🐾 We did the opposite for a big family Summer birthday soon after we had him and poor Lupin was completely overwhelmed - was tough to experience, especially because we knew we could have done better. 🐾

Keep your dog’s routine during the festive season, even when it's tricky with seeing family, friends and the inevitable shopping! It helps with anxiety and stress (both your pooch's and yours!)! 🎄 Tips for Small Dogs at Christmas... 🎄

Lupin's first Christmas ended up in a trip to the vet because we did our usual putting out mince pies and a little something for Santa on the fireplace... We learned the hard way about how important it is to think about your usual Christmas rituals when you have a new pup - so keep them safe from harmful holiday decorations (like tinsel and Christmas lights!), and be mindful of foods they can’t eat (like chocolate and mince pies!).
