🐾 Tuesday’s walks with Bonnie, Poppy, Daisy, Stanley, Herbie, Benny & Ruby 🐾
I started the day with Bonnie, Poppy and Daisy and we headed off to the quarry. It was so peaceful today that we had a really lovely, long walk and took the opportunity to explore some different paths. 🌿
I spotted three rabbits while we were out luckily Daisy didn’t spot a single one! 😂 Poppy did see one though and literally just froze, watching it very carefully. Daisy, meanwhile, was far too busy doing her own thing and sprinting around even though absolutely nobody was chasing her! 🤣 Daisy spent most of the walk off the path and charging through the bushes. I honestly have no idea what she thinks she’s looking for, but she is ALWAYS on a mission! 😂 Poppy, of course, is happy to follow her around and see what she’s getting up to, but she has absolutely no intention of going into those bushes herself! She prefers to supervise from a safe distance. 🤣 Poppy did have a few little bursts of energy herself after her water breaks and was doing zoomies down the path, which was lovely to see. Bonnie did amazingly well too, especially as it was quite a long walk for our older girl. She kept up beautifully and enjoyed having a good explore. ❤️
Next up was Herbie, Stanley, Benny and Ruby, and we met up with Bronia, who I haven’t seen in over a week, so it was really lovely to catch up! 🥰 All the dogs got on really well, although I think Bronia’s bunch definitely have a little more energy than mine they really are the crazy gang! 😂 Ruby was on a mission today! She was storming off ahead of me at the beginning of the walk, which is very unlike her as she normally prefers to walk behind me or alongside me. Then, on the way back, she decided she was absolutely ready to go home and took off with one thing on her mind GETTING HOME! 🤣 I had to run after her and she certainly wasn’t stopping, so thanks for the unexpected extra bit of exercise, Ruby! 😂 Herbie did really well today and absolutely loved meeting some new dogs along the way. He always enjoys having a good sniff and saying hello to everyone. He also enjoyed his water break and actually had a proper drink, so I think he definitely needed it today. And, of course, he was very happy when treat time came around! Stanley was a little slower than usual today and I think the heat was getting to him. I made sure he had a good break when we stopped for water and found a nice shady spot for everyone to cool down. That definitely perked him up and he was much happier afterwards. ❤️
And then there was Benny, who spent most of the walk running around and having the best time playing with Bronia’s dogs. He was having so much fun until things got a little too rough for his liking at which point he came straight back to me! He likes to play, but apparently there is a very definite limit to how much playing he is prepared to tolerate 🤣🐾Heidi’s Paws
