Seadogs Training Specialist Gundog Training for working pets. “Training for you and your dog” At Seadogs Training we train both the handler and the dog.

This can start from the time you bring home your new puppy to the time you take your dog out on your first shoot day and beyond. We have an excellent training centre to include puppy and novice paddocks through to woodland and water for advanced training. I can also cater for those of you, who would just like a better partnership with your pet. We also have an online school with excellent courses

to help you alongside your training with us or as a stand alone platform if you can’t get to us. If you need help with any of your pet needs please contact me for further information. We are fully licensed and insured for all areas of our business.

🎉💕 Today we’re celebrating 30 years of marriage – our Pearl anniversary! 💕🎉

As a little nod to our wedding day, we’ve got cupcakes (thank you to Julie’s mum who made our original wedding cake 🧁).

We’re still out training today, but we might just give the admin a miss… 🤔 Back to it properly tomorrow, promise!

✨ A moment of magic we just had to share… ✨

Our lovely client wrote to us about her daughter Niamh’s first meeting with one of our pups, Pearl 💛

"I just wanted to share a recent moment of magic.
I have been bringing my young Labrador, River, to training with Rob. Someone had told me Seadogs could help me. River is going to be my daughter’s assist dog, her companion and hopefully her best friend. We have had River for 2 months she is 21 months old, no mean task to train me and River from scratch!

My daughter Niamh has Down Syndrome and Autism, she struggles to engage and has limited speech.

Last week I told Niamh Rob might show her a picture of little Pearl, but it was even better than that. Niamh sat in the car with her head down until Rob carried little Pearl over to meet her, Well, Niamh was out of the car, with the biggest smile , her eyes lit up as she gently stroked this gorgeous sweet little pup ‘Tin Tin ‘ she said..Pearl took it all in her stride .Niamh chatted all the way home ; yes, puppy, small, Tin Tin.
If anyone needed reminding what joy and connection a dog can bring. Pearl, you are a champion already. Thank you Rob for that magic moment, made our day."

We’re excited to be hosting another of our Canine First Aid Courses on Friday 6th September, 2–5pm, at the brilliant Linkswood Veterinary Centre. 💉🐶
Run by experienced vets and veterinary nurses, the session includes a mix of theory and hands-on practical tuition, perfect whether you’re preparing for the shooting season, heading out on adventures with your dog, or simply want to feel confident in case of any accidents at home.
Whether you’re learning from scratch or just need a refresh, it’s a friendly, informative afternoon – and we always receive fantastic feedback from attendees!

Yesterday evening, some of the team headed out to a different venue for a change of scene – a good run and a bit of training were just what was needed.

Pearl checking out her new surroundings. Indoors. All of our puppies start off in the house so we can monitor them, bond with them and teach them toilet training to become house trained and clean before going into the kennels.

We use runners and rugs so she doesn’t slip.

Our Story

At Seadogs Training we are committed to delivering professional training sessions to train both the handler and the dog, from the time you bring home your new puppy to the time you take your dog out on your first shoot day and beyond in whichever discipline you choose. We also cater for those of you who would like a better partnership but have no intention of working your dog. Having the basics will make both you and you dog happier. We have over 20 years shooting experience and work our dogs beating and picking up. Rob also rough shoots over some of our dogs and shoots formal driven days where there is often a peg dog at his side. So whatever your discipline we can train you and your dog to meet your goals.

Our training courses will give you the confidence to work your dog in the shooting field, and have an obedient pet in and around the home.

If you wish, we can move onto more advanced training including water retrieving, dropping to flush, shot and directional work at Stour Valley Gundog Training Centre
