Update February 2023
We are in the incredibly fortunate position of being largely fully booked for home boarding until the end of the year and have therefore decided to reserve the few remaining holiday slots for those dogs with whom we have a prior relationship be it though boarding, walking or daycare. We do hope you understand and hopefully we can re-open our home boarding books in the not too
distant future. Spaces are very limited for walking and daycare but as ever, please do get in touch and we will help if we can! With over 10 years of experience of working with dogs in both a domestic and rescue environment, I decided to set up my own dog walking, dog daycare and home boarding facility at my home, a converted grade two listed barn in the beautiful Stroud Valley. As the owner of a very lively working breed, I understand only too well how difficult it can be to provide an adequate amount of exercise and stimulation everyday. That is where Centre Barks Stroud is here to help! Dogs who are booked to walk with me can choose from circular hikes of either one hour or 90 minutes in duration, taking in many different sights and sniffs. If your dog is sociable, they will be able to run and play with other like-minded companions but if they prefer their own company and one on one time with their human, or one or two other quiet dogs, I can cater for this also. In addition to being a keen walker, I am also a keen runner and if your dog is of a speedier persuasion, I can happily provide CaniX runs, ably assisted by my doggie running buddy, Oli. Dogs staying at Centre Barks be that on a doggie daycare basis or as a holiday, will be treated very much as part of the family. Where possible, sleeping arrangements will remain as they would at home, as will any mealtimes or routines in general. The premises are fully insured and licensed and we are thrilled to have recently been awarded the highest possible rating for home boarding from Cotswold District Council (license number C/20/00559/ANIMAL). For those times in between walks, there is a large, fully enclosed orchard garden where the dogs can sniff, play and lounge to their hearts content! Aside from the resident dog, I will generally only accept a dog / dogs from the same family for a holiday at any given time so you can be assured that your dog will be given all of the love and attention it requires. Badger and I look forward to welcoming your dog to Centre Barks soon!
