**DOG WALKING CANCELLED – SUNDAY 29th JUNE & MONDAY 30th JUNE **

Due to the heat & humidity forecast, we have made the decision to cancel dog walking on Sunday 29th and Monday 30th June

It will be far too hot for the dogs to be out and we must put their safety and welfare first.

Yesterday we had a visit from employees of RH Amar - as part of their "Doing Business Better" strategy, RH Amar donate 10% of profits to charities nominated by their employees.

Our Centre Manager, Robyn, together with Ziggy, were delighted to receive a cheque for £11,100.00. We are truly overwhelmed by this generosity, this is the third year that we have been nominated and supported by RH Amar - thank you from everyone at SDR and of course, all of the dogs in our care.

**DOG WALKING CANCELLED - SATURDAY 21st JUNE **

Due to the heat & humidity forecast, we have made the decision to cancel dog walking on Saturday 21st June.

It will be far too hot for the dogs to be out and we must put their safety and welfare first.

Chloe and Jess (dog carers) need your help and suggestions. They would love to buy a Slat Mill (treadmill for dogs) to assist in training and rehabilitation for our dogs, approximately £1200. But how do they raise this money? Can you think of a challenge or task that you would sponsor them to do? Should they sit in a bath of beans?Wash your cars?Wear a dog outfit for a day? What do you think? Let us have your ideas and we will choose one for them to do. This is an example of what a Slat Mill is. It is a great piece of equipment for enrichment to keep the dogs stimulated, motivated, it helps with obedience and behavioural issues and also physical issues. The Mill is self propelled so once the dogs have figured it out they control the pace and obviously get lots of rewards in the process.
