It's been a quiet first half of the week with bank holiday Monday and a very hot Tuesday, but we got some good walks in today, with my schedule being adjusted to give everyone morning walks, and we've had good mornings and evenings with Ziggy and Dolly too!

Hi all!

With next week expected to be quite hot, I will be taking precautions to ensure safe walks with all of your furry companions!

With the majority of my walks being before the peak of the heat (2-3pm) most walks should still go ahead as planned, but I will take precautions to ensure we avoid asphalt/concrete as much as possible, as these are the biggest problems in the heat.

While most of the walks I do avoid those surfaces, I may drive your dog(s) to a more sheltered walking location during heatwaves, to make sure they still get their time outside.

There may be a reduction in walking time, but rest assured I will still spend time with them indoors to make sure they still get their social time in.

If at all possible, I would suggest making sure they have cool areas in the home for after their walks, I'll be providing water as always during walks, not every dog likes the bottle I use so if they have a preferred one, feel free to leave it out and I'll take it with me too.

Wednesday ended up being an unfortunately shorter day than planned due to the weather!

Some dogs do not walk in the rain - and that's okay! I'm happy to sit with them and give them fuss and attention at home instead!
