GRASS SEEDS 🐾🍃

During this time of year we see an influx of patients with grass seeds, here’s all you need to know:

👉Why do they cause problems for our dogs?

They become easily attached to our dogs fur and burrow their way into their skin, causing pain and discomfort 😣

👉Which areas are affected?

The most commonly affected areas are the paws and ears 🐾👂

👉Signs your dog may have a grass seed:

- Shaking their head
- Licking their paws
- Looking uncomfortable
- Feeling lethargic

🚨 Have you ever considered a career in Veterinary Nursing?? 🚨

🐱🐶🐰Here at Aldervale Veterinary practice we are excited to offer a position as a student veterinary nurse and a placement with our very own college based at Market Rasen to the right candidate. 🐱🐶 🐰

The opportunity to join our team on an apprenticeship level 3 diploma starts in September. It is a 40 hour a week role and includes weekends on a regular basis. Our students attend the Rase Veterinary nursing college one day a week as part of their 40 hour role.

You must have GCSE maths and English C or above and hold a full uk driving licence. Ideally some experience working with animals or further education within this field. If you are interested in finding out about the role and joining our team please send a cover letter and CV to [email protected]

Presumed to have been in an RTA however appears fine following clinical examination.
He was handed in to our Alford practice by a member of the public! He is a young entire male with no microchip present.
