This is one of our custom made PeeWee jump saddles - this particular saddle is the Milano and is available as a dual flap, mono flap, or like this one, a split flap - which is a mono flap with an internal knee block - designed for ultimate security in the seat. From £1995.
Oh, and you can bling them up to the max too!

Can you tell if a saddle fits just from a photo?
Nope. 👎🏼 Not really.

Here’s a particularly lovely saddle I fitted last week — and after a string of posts about saddles not fitting, I thought it was time to show a good one! You’ll have to take my word for it that this one fits the horse well.

But just because you can’t confirm a good fit from a photo…
Does that mean you can’t spot a bad one?

Actually — no. It’s much easier to spot a poorly fitting saddle in a photo than to confirm a good fit. Why? Because saddle fitting involves about a trillion factors (technical term). You can see some of them in a photo, but the rest you can only assess in person, by seeing and feeling how the saddle interacts with the horse in motion.

So yes — you can often tell when a saddle doesn’t fit from a photo. But confirming that one does fit? That’s a much bigger ask.

Local clinic - Liberty and Trick Training at Truesdale Equestrian Centre with the amazing Emma Tytherleigh

I am so so so excited!
Who remembers that awesome stunt riding lesson I had a couple of years ago (they call it trick riding, but I call it stunt riding cos I think it makes me sound waaaay cooler) - it was at The Knights of Middle England in Warwick. And was most probably the best day of my life. Apart from my wedding…maybe. 🤣 if you ever get the chance to do one, do it! Trick riding that is, don’t marry my husband, he’s already married.
Anyhoo, (gosh this is getting wordy) the wonderful, encouraging, talented and brilliant instructor that day was Emma Tytherleigh.

She wowed me with tales of her adventures around the world, joining the circus, doing displays and basically living the life I wish I had chosen. So I kept following her on social media and vicariously living through her worldwide horsey adventures.

And then, little Endo came into my life. And… it turns out that not only does Endo LOVE liberty type work… but Emma has previously done some with him! I mean, hello! This is soooo cool… maybe my circus dreams are not over…. (😉)

So I begged, pleaded and whined… and Emma agreed to come do a clinic at Truesdale Equestrian Centre

If you’ve been to any of her demos, displays or lessons you’ll know, she’s magical.

No need to worry about the weather as there is a lovely, safe indoor arena. And it’s very horse friendly so even the young/spooky horses love it there. Yours will too!

It’s a Liberty and Trick Training clinic bur she does LOADS more eg bridleless riding.

These clinics are wonderful for loads of things, whether you have a young horse, or one you’re not riding at the moment but want to do meaningful work with… or for confidence issues… or to learn amazing things that you can take to the circus, or just show off on your livery yard… but whatever your reason, you’ll build up such a lovely bond with your horse and have fun at the same time!

PeeWee peeps/clients will get priority places for this fabulous day of fun!

On the very top of my bucket list is… to ride on the beach.

But… obvs I’m a born worry wart and I worry about going on my own… but then the thought of going in a group makes me want to 💩 my pants. Cos what if everyone wants to gallop and I don’t?
And I know I am not the only one who feels like this…

Well… I’ve spoken to Simon from SJR Equestrian Photography and we came up with a plan.

Howzabout we organise a *small* group of horses and riders to do a little, sedate, chilled out beach ride and photoshoot (to get gorgeous pictures of you smashing that bucket list). Where you can bring along someone on foot with you if you want as a support buddy.

Included in the session would be:
-Beach time with your horse, in a small group and safe environment.
-All digital copies of photos taken. Small charge for printed copies.
-Tea, coffee and cake.

What you’ll hopefully achieve:
-Meet new peeps.
-Have a fun time at the beach with your horse, without being pushed to do anything you don’t want to do.
-No mad galloping groups (there will be other beach photoshoots for that, if galloping is more your idea of fun).

We are thinking early September 2024 when the kids are back at school so the beach will be quiet, but hopefully still nice weather.
And will take place in North Norfolk.

If you’d be interested in this, pop me out a message, including the words ‘beach ride’ so that I can find the messages easily. And I’ll advertise it properly when I have the dates confirmed.
