Ruth Makes Jewellery Our unique handmade silver jewellery is inspired by landscape and wildlife, and our cats The silver is hallmarked at Birmingham Assay Office.

Ruth Makes Jewellery combines the designs of Ruth Sutcliffe and Jez Coates. Based in the West Yorkshire Pennine hills in UK, they create sterling silver jewellery inspired by local landscape, wildlife, pets, natural forms, mystical moongazing hares and wolves. Each unique piece is hand sawn from sterling silver sheet, sometimes incorporating copper and brass, and either polished to a rich lustre,

or oxidised to create atmospheric wearable art. We are happy to discuss ideas for commissions to create beautiful personal jewellery, perfect for special gifts.

A big thank you to Andy and Team for an excellent Artisan Made UK 2025. As always the organisation was faultless. This is such a warm and friendly event which is very important to us, catching up with friends all part of it. The quality of exhibitors was impressive too. Thank you to all our neighbours who made such an enjoyable weekend, and of course to those galleries and shops who stopped by to see our work.
