Personal soppy post incoming! ✨🥺💖 (Not cat related but person, so do look past if this will not interest you).
I am so grateful for my clients and why I truly love the work I get to do, I can not say this enough🤍
Yesterday morning, I had the privilege of meeting a lovely elderly lady and her sweet cat and it turned into such a humbling experience for me. Although I attended for an inside-home experience for her cat’s appointment, we ended up chatting in detail afterwards. She took such a genuine interest in my story, my journey, and everything I’ve worked hard to achieve. She came outside to look into my van and had so many questions.
The appointment went really well and because I was ahead of schedule, she kindly invited me to stay for a cup of tea and biscuits. We sat and spoke about so many things together, our families, cats, working life, nature, and even some personal experiences we had both been through despite our 55-year age gap. It was mind blowing. It was honestly unbelievable how much we connected, and we’re both looking forward to seeing each other again.
Later that evening, my partner (for those who don’t know, we share the other workplace together) came home with a gift from her. On the bag, she had written my daughter’s name, and inside was a children’s book she had bought for her.
The craziest part is that it was the exact same storybook the hospital gave to my daughter after my mum sadly passed away.
I truly believe everything happens for a reason, and this whole experience just felt incredibly special to me.
Moments like these remind me that this job is about so much more than work. 🤍
Love you all, Emma x
