Does your puppy jump up at you, your visitors, or people you pass on a walk? You're not alone, and it's not because they're being naughty.

Jumping up is actually a really natural behaviour rooted in how puppies seek food and attention from their mum. The trouble is, without meaning to, we often reinforce it ourselves, whether that's fussing them when they're small and cute, or even telling them "off" and giving them attention that way.

🎉Massive Congratulations to our recent UK Sniffer Dog Bronze Scent Detection class graduates 🎓 😍 Well done to team Fly, Rusty, Patsy and Jax 🐶

These guys have all been so patient throughout the course with the heat playing havoc with their dogs ability to focus and many cancelled and moved classes 😮‍💨 but they’ve stuck with it and all of them absolutely smashed their much Bronze trial! 💪

Looking forward to seeing them all complete their real trials in the future and move in to Silver Scent Detection! 🤩

🐾 Off-lead time to interact with other puppies
🐾 Guidance on when and how to step in during an interaction
🐾 Education on canine body language
🐾 Advice on how to use these skills out in the real world

Would you believe every dog in this class typically reacts to other dogs by barking or lunging? Yet here they all are, engaging beautifully with their humans through some impulse control exercises.

This is a snippet from our Social Skills session, held every Saturday at 9:45am. It's designed for dogs who have big feelings about seeing other dogs and struggle with frustration.
