Winter is on it’s way, the animals adjust easily to the changing weather patterns just a few months ago the chickens and ducks laid flat with the wings spread out wide to help cool down their body temperature, the cows moved slowly around the field finding the shade whilst the pigs wallowed in the mud.
Now that the cooler nights have arrived the chickens take themselves to bed early to generate heat in the coop, the donkeys and horses spend more time in the stables to prevent their coats becoming water logged, the pigs well they still enjoy the mud whatever the weather, and Poppy the farm dog heads towards the fire to keep warm.
