Did you know I also take care of small animals and rodents? 🐀

I hold a Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Animal Management and have hands-on experience with a wide range of small animals like hamsters, mice, rats and gerbils. Studying for this qualification is where I truly found my love for rats specifically!

I also have two groups of my own rats and have taken in many rescues over time. Because of this, I’m very used to working with shy, nervous, or more complex animals, and I understand how important patience and a calm approach is when building trust.

I’m confident with:
• Administering medication
• Nail trims and health checks
• Enclosure cleaning & enrichment
• Monitoring behaviour and spotting early signs of illness
• Spending time with them outside of their cages
• Handling

Small animals can often be overlooked when it comes to pet sitting, but they require just as much knowledge and attention to detail — if not more.

Apologies for the radio silence on my end — these last few weeks have been non-stop with my own pets, and as I'm sure you'll understand, their health will always come first 🩷 Thankfully, most of them are recovering well from surgeries and sicknesses, and things are finally settling back into a routine. I’m still very much active and still taking bookings for upcoming dates!

It's been a busy few days for my friends at home!

I've been working on introductions with my own group of boys — adding two youngsters and an older gentleman to our established mischief. Intros can be tricky, but with patience and experience, they’re settling in beautifully 💕
