Event Training Day with Wills Oakden💚

Join us for a fantastic Combined Training Day with Wills Oakden, including:

1-hour group jumping lesson with Wills in our 30m x 70m outdoor arena, set up with a simulated cross-country course.

30-minute private dressage lesson with Wills in our indoor arena.

Private lessons with Wills are also available.

Soup, rolls & refreshments available in our cosy Viewing Gallery, where you can relax and watch the dressage lessons throughout the day.

Day stables available so your horse can relax comfortably between sessions.

Dressage Show at Totleywells💚

Incorporating Spring Festival Qualifiers

This competition is open to all, whether you’re aiming for a Spring Festival Qualification or simply looking for an enjoyable outing with your horse. We pride ourselves on creating a friendly, supportive and relaxed atmosphere, where competitors of all levels can enjoy their day.

And, of course, our ever-popular Cafe will be open throughout the day, serving a delicious selection of food, refreshments and plenty of tempting treats. ☕🍰

So come along, ride your best test, enjoy the atmosphere, catch up with friends, treat yourself to a coffee and cake, then head home with a smile!

Come along to a relaxed hour of in-hand work with your youngster.
If there is anything specific you want to do, let me know, I'm not a mind reader 😉

We'll have a chat about training styles, reward based and pressure based, and the differences between the two and how they can be used effectively.

Suggested exercises which may or may not be included:

- stand quietly when asked
-walking when you walk, stop when you stop
-backing up gently and in a controlled, relaxed manner
-trotting in hand (show prep)
-navigating a pole work exercise
-standing at peace beside the mounting block (age dependant)
-leg and hoof handling
