Bookings are now OPEN for Hopetoun Estate Fun Ride on Sunday 12th April 2026
Entry fee for the ride is £35 (£15 for U16s). All U16s must be accompanied by a mounted adult known to them.

We are delighted to confirm that we will be donating £5 of ever entry fee received to the charity, Marie Curie in memory of Rossie Maitland-Carew.
When you book in you will be sent details of where to park etc.
Useful Information
The ride commences at 10.00am and you can go anytime from then until 11.30am ( no riders will be permitted to leave after this time).
The ride will be marked by arrows directing the way or change in direction.
There will be marshalls at gates and the road crossing.
Dress for the weather. Correct and safe riding attire should be worn including hat and boots. We recommend a some hi-viz as the trails etc are used by other users and there are vehicles that move around the estate. No formal attire necessary as it is a fun ride.
The ride is approximately 8-10 miles. Pace should be around 2 hours to complete.
The route is largely woodland tracks and field edges, there will be a little road work, but within the estate (so not any main roads) and very few stoney tracks.
Please respect other riders, slower combinations should move over to let riders to pass at an appropriate place, faster riders should pass others considerately.
Please respect other countryside and estate users, i.e. walkers and cyclists (also deer in the Deer Park) (there may be some cattle it just depends on the estate management of livestock nearer the time).
Refreshments of tea, coffee, bacon rolls, home baking will be available to purchase before or after your ride thanks to the Lauderdale Supporters Club.
Please note there is no access to public toilets, so prepare accordingly.
Ensure you leave the Deer Park clean and tidy as we are all guests.
Please take your horse poo home and loose hay.
Group bookings
If you are booking for a group – ie. more than yourself, please reply with each rider's name and their age if 16 years and under and payment must be made in full by the person making the group booking.
