🌿 THE STRANGEST FRIDAY NIGHT AT ARCHIE'S FIELD! 😂🐾

We had a rather unusual Friday evening at Archie's Field…

A lovely customer was enjoying a quiet walk with her dog when she spotted something rather strange — a sheep stuck along the brook! 🐏🤦‍♀️😂

She offered to stay and help us reunite the runaway sheep with it's friends

What happened next was definitely NOT on the Friday night itinerary… 😂

Our lovely customer ended up jumping into the brook, getting soaked from head to foot and picking up a collection of nettle stings along the way! 🌿😳

All for a sheep🐏

And the best part?

THE SHEEP WAS COMPLETELY UNHARMED. 😂😂😂

So, Friday night at Archie's Field:

🐾 One dog having a perfectly normal walk
🌿 One very determined customer
💦 One very wet customer
🌱 Several nettle stings
🛶 One brook rescue mission
🐏And one perfectly unharmed sheep!

We honestly couldn't make this stuff up! 😂

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful customer for going so far above and beyond to help us. We really, really appreciate it. ❤️

🌻A LITTLE SUNFLOWER 🌻

Somehow, despite the hot, dry weather we’ve been having, a little wild sunflower has appeared at Archies Field… and it’s absolutely thriving! 🌻☀️

We’ve been lucky enough to have some lovely customers capture photos of their dogs discovering it along the way. 🐾💛

It’s funny how nature just gets on with things, isn’t it? No watering, no fuss… just sunshine and a determined little sunflower doing its thing! 🌻😂

We thought it deserved its own little moment especially as it’s become a rather lovely backdrop for some of our four-legged visitors.

A tiny bit of unexpected colour in the field, and we’re absolutely loving it. 💛

☀️🐾 HEATWAVE UPDATE 🐾☀️

The hot weather is making another appearance this week, with temperatures expected to reach around 35°C. 🥵

For the safety and wellbeing of all our four-legged visitors, Archie's Field will be closed during the hottest part of Wednesday & Thursday.

🕖 Wednesday & Thursday bookings:
🌅 7am – 10am
🌙 6pm only

There will be no daytime bookings during the hottest hours.

💚 We know it's disappointing to have to change your plans, but 30°C+ is simply too hot for dogs to exercise safely, and their health has to come first.

🌡️ The good news is that temperatures are expected to cool down, so we'll be open as normal from Friday. 🎉
A gentle sniff around is much better than a strenuous game of fetch when temperatures are soaring!

Today marks 2 amazing years of wagging tails, muddy paws, happy memories and the most wonderful community of dog lovers.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, loyalty and for making Archie's Field such a special place. We honestly couldn't have done it without you. ❤️

🎁 To help us celebrate, we've left some doggy party bags in the field for everyone who has booked a slot today and tomorrow.

🔥🐾 A Small Favour to Help Protect Archie's Field 🐾🔥

With the recent hot, dry weather and no rain, the long grass in the field has become extremely dry.

We'd like to kindly ask all visitors to please help us reduce the risk of fire by:

🚭 Not smoking anywhere in the field.

🍾 Please don't leave any glass bottles or broken glass behind.

It only takes one spark or a piece of glass acting like a magnifying glass in strong sunshine for a fire to start.

Archie's Field is home to so many happy memories, wildlife and a place dogs love to visit. We'd hate to see any of that put at risk.

Thank you for helping us keep Archie’s Field safe for everyone. We really do appreciate your support. 💚🐾

***FOUND***

These 2 dogs were found loose on the corner of Coventry Road/Glencroft Road. One dog wearing a harness & lead and the other dog with nothing.
No information available on either microchip. The dogs were reported to the dog warden and have now been taken to Birmingham Dog's Home. Please share.

☀️🐾 Heatwave Update 🐾☀️

With temperatures expected to reach 30°C from Wednesday 8th July, we'd like to ask our customers to consider rescheduling their bookings where possible.

Your dogs' health and wellbeing will always be our number one priority. 💚

🕖 During the hottest days, we'll only be opening 7:00am – 10:00am, when it's much cooler and safer for our four-legged visitors.

📅 If you'd like to move your booking, you can easily do so via our website, provided it's at least 24 hours before your booked time slot.

We know it's disappointing to miss out, but we'd much rather see happy, healthy dogs than overheated ones. 🐶💚

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us put our dogs first.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and we'll see you bright and early! ☀️🐾

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during the recent heatwave. 💚

We're pleased to be open as normal from Sunday 29th June, but please remember it's still warm out there.

🐶 Let your dog set the pace a slow sniff around the field can be just as much fun as a game of fetch.
📅 Bookings are filling up quickly, so if you're planning a visit, don't leave it too long!

With temperatures set to soar this week, we've made the difficult decision to close Archie's Field during the hottest parts of the day.

📅 Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
🕖 Open from 7am - 9am only

🌤️ The good news is that Saturday is currently looking cooler. We'll keep an eye on the forecast and may release additional slots closer to the time.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us put our dogs' safety first. 💚🐾
