Official senior status unlocked: rest comes first, ears work on a selective basis, and everything happens entirely at Archie-speed… unless it’s food, then he’s there in a flash!

These days come with the best perks: extra snacks, shorter strolls, longer sniffing sessions, and absolutely no need to rush for anyone. Age hasn’t slowed him down — it’s simply refined his priorities.

Here’s to a dog who reminds us that comfort, choice, and being heard mean everything.

That’s a lifetime of muddy adventures, wagging tails, and an impressive commitment to snacks.

Archie’s Field exists because of you. Your love of freedom, fun, and letting dogs be dogs (preferably covered in mud).
You’re the reason it all began, and you’re still very much the boss.

Thirteen years of loyalty, laughter, and hoovering up anything remotely edible… and I’d choose you again every single time 💛

As the year comes to a close, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s visited Archie’s Field this year — and to all the dogs who’ve run, sniffed, zoomed and relaxed here in their own safe space.

Watching dogs enjoy freedom, enrichment and stress-free time outdoors is exactly why Archie’s Field exists, and we’re so grateful to be part of your dog’s life.

We hope you and your dogs have a calm, cosy and joyful Christmas — whether that’s muddy paws, quiet sniffy walks, or a well-earned nap after festive fun.

It seems the field has had some unexpected visitors today…
The ducks have found a temporary pond 😂

The water is receding, and the field will be open as normal tomorrow, but please be aware it’s still very wet and muddy in places.

Wellies are essential if you’re visiting

The “duck pond” is not usually a feature of the field.
