It is about time this lazy bum got a job and started paying rent.

He's 3 in a few weeks and is so demanding.
He eats all the food and lazes around all day. While I am out at work he turns my sofa into a dog nest and leaves it covered in fur.

Just a couple of happy puppers in a post class pose.

Such a lovely mix in my current group class. All the pups got on like a house on fire and I look forward to weeks 2 to 7 seeing them grow and learn.

I took Yoshi to Dog Days secure field today to celebrate the cooler weather.

We had some good sniffs in the long grass, played some herding games, practiced our place cue and chilled out together to catch our breath.

Look at that happy face.

We went to the Queg field, it is my understanding that they have some agility equipment set up in the Bailey field which Yoshi would love too.

After a long day working yesterday I went for an windswept evening stroll with this nutter in one of our favorite places on earth 🌎

After this we stopped for a beer at the The Alma Inn. Pubs are an environment Yoshi usually struggles to settle in because he loves everyone just a little too much.

So, we went when it was quieter, sat outside and did lots of habituation and desensitisation.

He got a little excited when in quick succession a couple say near us with a beautiful cocker Spaniel, a German shepherd came outside and barked amd another couple walked past with a poodle cross; but with a little patience and lots of reinforcement he soon settled again.

Collies are bred to create and control movement so this kind of frenetic environment can be very challenging and it's not something we do often. I couldn't have been more proud of how he handled it though and he even made some more human friends.

I hope you are all managing in the heat. Today i took Yoshi to The Pooch Pool in Briercliffe.

He had an absolute whale (pardon the pun) of a time. He's certainly not the most graceful swimmer but splashing around is his favorite.

The Pooch Pool is an amazing facility and perfect for hot weather. They are very accommodating and much to Yoshi's pleasure have an abundance of floating toys. He loved retrieving them one by one and laying the out on the deck. He'd make a good fish herder.
