We have unfortunately had a deceased cat handed in to us this morning. The cat is tabby, male entire, looks to be a young adult. Unfortunately he is not microchipped or wearing a collar. He was found at the top of Wichling Hill, Doddington.
If you think this may be your cat, please contact us on 01795 520972.

🎃👻 A little Halloween magic for Bucky! 🐾🧡

You may remember the lovely Bucky, who recently came to see us after breaking a toe! 🐶💛 Since his injury, Bucky has been visiting us regularly for his bandage changes.

No matter how many times he comes through our doors, Bucky is ALWAYS so excited to see the team, and we absolutely love seeing him too! 🥰🐾

Of course, we couldn’t let Halloween pass without getting into the spooky spirit, so we thought it was only right to give Bucky a Halloween-themed bandage! 🎃🕸️🧡

We think he looks pawsitively spooktacular! 👻🐾

Get well soon, Bucky! ❤️

🐱🦷 Boris’s Dental Day! 🦷🐱

Handsome British Shorthair Boris came in to see our vet Ewen for a dental procedure. After taking a full set of dental X-rays, it was decided that both of Boris’s upper canine teeth needed to be removed. The rest of his teeth were given a thorough clean to help keep his mouth healthy! 🩺✨

💙 We were delighted to see Boris back for his first post-op check and are pleased to report that this gorgeous boy is recovering well! 🐾😻

🎉 VIP Plan Perk! 🎉

As a member of our VIP Plan, Boris received 10% off his dental procedure — just one of the many benefits of being a member! 💙

🐾 For more information about our VIP Plan, head over to our website or pop in and have a chat with our friendly team. We’ll be happy to help!

🐾 **Meet Mischievous Mochi! 🐱💕

This adorable 9-week-old kitten was brought in by her lovely owners after the sudden onset of lameness.

🐈Although Mochi is teeny tiny and delicate, with the most adorable little squeak, we've been told that she's quite the menace at home! 😂 She's a typical inquisitive kitten who loves nothing more than climbing, jumping around and getting up to mischief.

😻It’s safe to say that all our nurses fell head over heels in love with her, but Mochi was allowed to head home with her doting owners, with a few days of pain relief and rest ahead of her.💝🩺

🤞 We're keeping our paws crossed that this little sweetheart makes a full recovery very soon!

And just look at her giving us her absolute BEST meerkat impression! 🐾🥹

Get well soon, little Mochi! 💗

🐾 Meet George! 🐾

Cocker Spaniel George came to see us recently as he was suffering with sore ears. 🐶❤️

After being examined by our vet Rad and getting started on treatment, we’re hopeful that this handsome lad will soon be feeling much more comfortable! 🩺✨

Sending lots of cuddles to George and hoping those ears feel better very soon! 🐾💙

🐾 Just look at that cute face! 😻 Meet Smokey! 🖤

This handsome boy popped in to see us for his vaccination and a microchip. But why is microchipping so important? 🤔

🏡 Why microchip your pet? Microchipping is one of the best ways to help reunite lost pets with their worried owners. We would hate to think of Smokey going missing, and a microchip can make all the difference in getting him safely back home! ❤️

💉 How does it work? A tiny microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, is inserted under the skin between the shoulder blades using a needle. It's a quick procedure that gives your pet a unique form of identification.

🔢 How does it help? Each microchip has a unique 15-digit number. If your pet is found, a vet or rescue centre can scan the chip and use that number to look up the registered details of their owner.

📱 IMPORTANT REMINDER! Please make sure your contact details are kept up to date. If you move house or change your telephone number, remember to update your pet's microchip registration. It's SO important! 🏡📞

🐶🐱 Did you know? Microchipping is FREE for our VIP Plan members! 🎉

If your pet isn't microchipped yet, or you're unsure whether your details are up to date, give us a call at Swaleside Vets. We're always happy to help and offer advice! 💚

🐦💙 Meet Sheldon, our little feathered friend! 💙🐦

Sheldon came into us after an unfortunate encounter with a car, and he’s been staying with us over the last few days while he rests, recovers and receives anti-inflammatory medication to help him on the road to recovery. 🩺💕

Our team have become rather fond of this little character, and he’s even been given a name of his own… Sheldon! 🥰

We’ve also discovered that Sheldon has a rather favourite spot… perched comfortably on someone’s shoulder! 🐦🤍 It seems he’s decided that he is quite happy to be a part of the team!

We’re keeping a close eye on him and hoping he continues to make good progress!💙🪶

🐾💗 Poppy’s VIP health check! 💗🐾

Lovely Poppy popped in to see Vet Ewen for her monthly VIP health check! 🩺✨ After a thorough check-over, she enjoyed a well-deserved cuddle with Ewen. 🥰

Lots of cuddles and fuss are all part of the VIP treatment! 💕🐶

Well done, Poppy! We look forward to seeing you again soon! 🐾💖

📸 Strike a pose, Marley! 🐾💛

Meet Marley, our gorgeous 12-week-old Golden Labrador puppy, who is already a little superstar in front of the camera! 😍

Marley came in to see us for his second vaccination, helping protect him against some of the nasty diseases he could encounter out in the big, wide doggy world. 🌎🐶

We think he’s already mastered the art of looking adorable, and we can’t wait to see him again and watch him grow into the handsome boy he’s destined to be! 🥰

Keep posing, Marley! 📷💛
