Lupin has the right idea, lying in the shade and taking it easy! ☀️🐾

I'm keeping a close eye on both of my dogs during this heatwave as they're both elderly now. As much as Jess loves to sunbathe, I can't let her stay out for too long.

They haven't been out for a walk for a few days because even early in the morning it's been too warm. Sometimes the safest thing we can do for our dogs is let them rest at home, keep them cool, and wait for the temperatures to drop.

Plenty of fresh water, shady spots, and lots of naps seem to be the order of the day here! ❤️🐶

With temperatures set to rise, please take extra care with your dogs.

🐾 Walk early morning or later in the evening
🐾 Make sure fresh water is always available
🐾 Avoid hot pavements that can burn paws
🐾 Never leave a dog in a parked car
🐾 Watch for signs of heatstroke such as excessive panting, drooling, weakness, or vomiting

✨ Meet beautiful Mitsey ✨

Mitsey visited for her first groom today. Unfortunately, I had to take her coat shorter than ideal as her legs were quite matted, and she wasn't comfortable with the hair dryer or brushing. The good news is that she was happy with the clippers and scissors, so we were able to get her feeling much more comfortable. 🐾❤️

The plan now is to get Mitsey onto a regular grooming schedule so we can gradually grow those lovely fluffy legs back out while keeping her coat mat-free and comfortable.

She was a lovely girl to groom, and I'm looking forward to seeing her confidence and coat improve with each visit. ✂️✨

🐾✨ New boy Chase ✨🐾

Chase came in for his first groom with me today, and what a character he is! 😄

He was full of energy from start to finish and kept me on my toes, but we got him looking fresh, clean, and handsome. ✂️🛁

It's always lovely getting to know a new dog and helping them feel comfortable with the grooming process. Looking forward to seeing Chase again and watching his confidence grow with each visit. ❤️
