Sunday fun Session for this duo 🩷💙

Lottie (fawn/tan) is 5 years old and rather relaxed. She's happy to trot and sniff and go at a steady pace. Maya (white) on the other hand is 5 months old and ready to tackle the world with the gutso you'd expect from a young Frenchie mix!

It makes for interesting walks and is a laugh watching them interact in typical older/younger sibling ways.

Any time Lottie is calming getting a fuss, or playing with a toy, Maya comes bounding over with her puppy energy to distruped her peace 😁

Both are great though and Maya is learning quick on what Lottie will and won't tolerate.

Looking forward to watching these grow as a pair over the year 🩷

New girl on the block, Luna 🩷

Luna is an American Staffy x Caucasian Shepard x Bull Breed mash up 😊

She is another beautiful soul that was previously mistreated and left abandoned in the woods yet still remains full of love!

Thanks to the awesome work of Helping Yorkshire Poundies - HYPS she's now found her forever home and will be joining us on regular weekly walks.

Despite her past she's a very well behaved girl who just needs a little confidence boost.

Wednesday 10th June
Concord Park Lower Car Park

Session will start around 1600 and scheduled for 1 hour but this may run over as I get carried away!

Sessions will be on grass so may be wet on the day depending on weather we get.

Do's and Dont's....

Do:

Bring a short lead. Approx 2-3metres long (no flexi leads) and sturdy harness/collar your dog can't escape from.

Bring high valve reward. This can be treats, food or toy. Something your dog highly valves. If a toy make sure they have a good drop/leave command!

Arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow your dog to sniff, toilet and burn off some energy.

Be prepared to hold your dog back or move them away if they do react.

Keep space between all dogs on the session unless told to move closer

Dont:

Allow your dog to meet other dogs

Allow your dog off lead

Panic if your dog does react. That's what these sessions are for

Take this session too serious! Relax and just think of it as taking your dog for a walk.

Luna - American Staffy/Caucasian Shepard/Bull Breed mix. Another beautiful rescue thats luckily found her forever home and just needs some time and guidance to get used to the world again 🩷

New WDC family members 💙

Lottie & Maya - French Bulldog mixes - These are going to be a cheeky pair! Nothing wrong with them, absolutely brilliant on our first walk together and great dogs but just look at them. Can see them planning mischief already 😁

Nala - Cane Corso mix - Look at her face! 7 months old and full of life 🩷 A very well behaved dog who's just got that puppy energy to burn off but her owners are doing great with her training already and she's going to be a bundle of fun to walk.

Heidi - Belgium Malinios x Japanese Akita - Heidi is joining for some training sessions. She's a rescue who is very nervous and anxious. Her owners have had a number of trainers who, to be honest, haven't been very useful! Apparently she would never have a recall as she wasn't food motivated. After our 1st session she was already picking it up. Of course she wasn't perfect but she was engaging and owners said she's never responded that way to the other trainers 🥰

Final night with this chunky lad 💙🇬🇧

Its been an absolute pleasure looking after Hunter while his mum has been away and will probably be the easiest house sit I ever do 😁

Couple of short walks a day, fed twice a day, toilet twice a day and then cuddles & naps for rest of time.....perfect!

A few little snippets of what Princess gets up to when its too hot for a walk! 🥵🐕

Play fighting, sniffing/mind games, basic training and toy play.

These are only short videos showing a brief glimpse into what we do together and although walking is great for dogs its not the only thing they need to be fulfilled and tired.

When the weather has been as hot as it has this sort of stimulation is just as pleasing for them with the added bonus of strengthening bonds together 🩷
