Just to add a quick polite reminder that I do HAVE to have a minimum 24hr cancellation/missed appointment policy in place. This is to protect my income, and to enable me to be able to continue running the business I love. I understand times are tough but this is my full time job and only source of income. I am and always will be as accommodating as possible as I know life can get in the way but short of taking deposits (which I don’t want to do if I can help it) the cancellation policy is the only way to keep going. Please remember the tough times affect your self employed/sole trader friends massively too and we are trying our best!

As always thankyou so much for all your custom and for keeping me so busy, I feel so lucky to do a job I love each day! 🐶🐾

On the run up to Christmas things get very busy for us all! To make sure appointments run smoothly, please ensure you arrive for your appointments on time and collect on time. Pick up and drop off is available if within stocksbridge and Deepcar if needed.

A few other policies:

Please also ensure if you need to cancel your appointment you give 48hr notice so your spot can be filled, cancellations or missed appointments under this time frame will be fully chargeable.

Late pick ups or drop offs (over 10 minutes) may incur a charge or result in me not being able to carry out the groom. Should this be the case the appointment will still be chargeable and counted as a missed appointment.

Fleas or ticks found on your dog will incur a £5 charge per dog to cover time shuffling appointments to allow safe clean down and flea-spraying for salon and car etc.

Wow, It’s been a scorcher recently! ☀️ Is your pooch struggling to keep cool or tidy this summer? Why not book them in for a pamper now.
Compacted double coats or matted coats on your dog can hinder their natural ability to regulate their temperature so a well maintained coat is vital for a comfortable pet 🥰🐶🐾

From the 1st April there will be a price increase on all grooms. I will inform people before their appointment on what that will be. This has unfortunately become inevitable due to the rising increase in costs.
Just as a little insight, on servicing/sharpening equipment alone to keep the business running my outgoings are over £1500, without factoring in postage, water, electric, fuel for pick ups and drop offs which I offer for free, insurance both business and car, tax, equipment replacement, and the many other costs and hours work that comes with being a small business.

I absolutely love my business and I’m so so grateful for all of you and your lovely doggies for keeping me so busy and trusting me as your groomer and I hope to be able to continue to offer a personal, one on one, calm and caring service to all your gorgeous babies and still keep costs as affordable as possible.

As some of you may have seen on the local forums last Wednesday we had a devastating event where our place of storage, for over 25 years worth of costumes, props, set and thousands of pounds worth of Simon’s essential personal tools (around £4000) for the current performance and all of the things built and made for our upcoming performance by such a talented dedicated bunch of people, were completely destroyed in a fire. Everything is gone. THIS WONT STOP US! We are on it behind the scenes pulling together like the strong community we are to bring you the best we have to offer! BUT WE NEED YOU!

I know that times are hard financially for so many people but If you can spare anything at all it would be so much appreciated. The tools that were destroyed were Simon’s pride and joy. He does so much for this community both inside and outside of steel valley beacon arts because that’s just the kind of person he is. Let’s get him and steel valley beacon back on their feet 💜
