Please give a warm Sea Moor Paws welcome to beautiful Poppy!

Isn't she just the prettiest lady.

Poppy has recently joined us for SMP adventures and she's already made it very clear that life is not a race... especially when there are important sniffs to investigate!

Her favourite hobbies include:
Playing "Guess Which Rock Was Thrown" (spoiler: it's rarely the one that was actually thrown)

Taking her sweet time reading every scent message left by the local wildlife.

And honestly? We love that.

At Sea Moor Paws, we believe dogs shouldn't be rushed from A to B. Sniffing, exploring and experiencing the world at their own pace is such an important part of their wellbeing.

For Poppy, the adventure isn't about how far she walks... it's about how many fascinating smells, exciting discoveries and little moments of joy she finds along the way.

We can't wait for many adventures with this beautiful girl and her wonderfully thoughtful approach to life.

I asked them to lie down whilst I ate my lunch.
To be fair they listened perfectly.

Some dog walks feel less like exercise… and more like therapy 🌿🐾

Today’s adventure through Longtimber Woods, Ivybridge was pure restoration for me, Bella and Ava.

An abundance of green, peaceful woodland trails, fresh rain in the air, calming birdsong, splashing rivers and happy lady labs running freely through nature.

No traffic.
No noise.
Just the simple joy of being outdoors with content doggies completely in their element.

For me, walks like this are a form of meditation. Watching dogs explore, sniff, splash and simply be dogs is one of the most grounding and mindful feelings there is.

Safe to say we all returned home refreshed, fulfilled and very content.

Dogs experience the world through their nose first 🐾🌿

Sniffing is so much more than “just a walk”, it’s enrichment, mental stimulation, confidence building and natural stress relief for our dogs.

Giving dogs time to slow down, explore scents, listen to birdsong and simply be in nature helps them feel calmer, happier and more balanced.

This is why Sea Moor Paws walks are never rushed.

They’re about freedom, wellbeing, adventure and allowing dogs to enjoy the world the way nature intended.
