🤎 Every dog has a story. 🤎

Not every dog walks into the grooming salon wagging their tail and loving every second. Some arrive nervous, worried, overwhelmed or carrying experiences we may never fully understand.

As groomers, it’s easy to focus on the behaviour we see. But behaviour is communication. It’s a dog telling us how they’re feeling in that moment.

I firmly believe that every dog deserves patience before judgement, and every dog deserves the chance to be understood. Building trust doesn’t happen overnight—it happens through kindness, consistency and positive experiences.

That’s why I ask owners to be open and honest about their dog’s behaviour before their appointment. The more information I have, the better I can tailor their groom to keep them safe, comfortable and supported throughout their visit.

Some dogs need a little extra time. Some need a different approach. Some simply need someone willing to listen to what they’re trying to say.

Because at the end of the day, dogs don’t choose to visit the groomer any more than they choose to visit the vet. But they all deserve compassionate care when they do. ❤️

Patient. Compassionate. Fear-free focused. Every dog deserves a chance.

Those nails may seem like a small thing… but they can have a big impact on your dog’s comfort. 🐾

This lovely dog came in with significantly overgrown nails. Thankfully, we were able to trim them back safely, but nails like these can quickly become uncomfortable if they’re left too long.

When a dog’s nails become overgrown, they can:
• Change the way your dog walks, putting extra strain on their feet, joints and ligaments.
• Cause the toes to splay unnaturally, which can lead to discomfort over time.
• Curl and begin growing towards the paw pad in severe cases.
• Be more likely to catch, split or break.
• Encourage dogs to chew at their nails, which can cause further damage and irritation.

Keeping nails short isn’t just about appearance—it’s an important part of your dog’s overall health and wellbeing.

🐾 Nail clips are just £10.
🐾 No appointment needed – simply pop in during opening hours.

If you’d prefer the reassurance of arranging a time, or if your dog is a little nervous about having their nails done, just send me a message or give me a call on 07456 988377. I’m always happy to work at your dog’s pace to make the experience as calm and stress-free as possible. 🤎

🤎Sometimes the hardest part of grooming isn’t the groom itself… it’s finding the confidence to book. 🤎

The lovely dog in these photos came to me after their owner had understandably postponed appointments a couple of times. Like many owners, she was worried about how her dog would cope with grooming due to some reactive tendencies.

In the meantime, she did what she could at home, carefully trimming little bits herself to keep them comfortable. But with the warmer weather, it became clear it was time for a proper groom.

I’m so pleased to say I took everything at the dog’s pace, worked slowly, and they did brilliantly. They left feeling so much more comfortable, and the lovely words from their owner at collection meant the world to me.

I wanted to share this because I know there are so many owners who feel exactly the same.

If you’re worried your dog is anxious, reactive, nervous, or simply finds grooming difficult, please don’t ever feel embarrassed about getting in touch.

There is no judgement here.

Some dogs need a little extra time.
Some need more patience.
Some need regular breaks.
Some need us to work differently than we would with other dogs.

And that’s okay.

My priority has always been your dog’s welfare, comfort and emotional wellbeing—not rushing to achieve a perfect groom.

Sometimes the groom won’t be absolutely perfect on the first visit, and that’s completely fine if it means your dog has had a positive, low-stress experience. Comfort will always come before cosmetics.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing nervous dogs grow in confidence. With patience, consistency and trust, many dogs who once found grooming overwhelming go on to become relaxed, happy clients.

So if you’ve been putting off making an appointment because you’re worried about how your dog might behave…

Please don’t.

Message me. We’ll talk about your dog’s needs, take things one step at a time, and work together to make grooming as calm and positive as possible.

Because every dog deserves to feel comfortable, and every owner deserves to feel supported. 🤎

🐾 September & October Diary Now Open 🐾

Just a little heads-up that appointments for September and October are already starting to fill up. 💛

If you’d like to get your dog’s next groom booked in, I’d recommend popping me a message sooner rather than later so we can find a time that works for you.

I’ll also be taking a short holiday in October, so availability will be a little more limited during that period.

Whether you’re a long-standing client or looking to book in for the first time, I’d love to hear from you and will always do my best to accommodate everyone. 🐶✨

Thank you so much for your continued support of my little business and for trusting me with your wonderful dogs. It truly means the world. 🤎
