Finished 7th

1 runner for us tonight at Stratford where Zoe Catherine Louise will be leading up.
It’s the 8.50pm where we run MASONBROOK MEADOW for owners The 69 Racing Team and Benjamin Macey riding.
MASONBROOK MEADOW would have a place chance at the very least for me, conditions look fine and our stable is in top form.
Best of luck to connections and most importantly is that both horse and jockey return safe and sound….. Brett

What a great bank holiday of racing!

Three went to Fontwell on Sunday, two for our very supportive and enthusiastic owner, Simon Smode, and one for new owners, KFS Syndicate.

HANDMEDOWNASTAR made all and went clear by 8 lengths for the win.
CHARTWELL JOCK took a keen hold and was in touch with the leaders before weakening 2 out and then ran on to finish 4th.
KENTFORD LEGACY made her racecourse debut, and although ran a bit green, went clear inside the final furlong to win by 6 1/2 lengths. She carries the colours of our long term owner, the late Ian Bare, and it was lovely to see them back on the racecourse.

On Sunday afternoon we travelled up to Cartmel with PATH OF STARS and TOMMIE BEAU so they could settle and rest before their races on Monday. Simon and Christine Prout (We Do Vans) who support us by sponsoring the yard, were there for the duration of the meeting as usual, and Simon enjoys walking TOMMIE out in the morning for a pick of grass!

PATH OF STARS, although making a mistake at the 4th, led 1 furlong out and kept on gamely to take the win by 3/4 length.

The legend that is TOMMIE BEAU, who always puts his heart and soul into his race, challenged at the last but was outpaced by the winner and finished 2nd.

All horses over the bank holiday weekend were kept well hydrated and cool by our team, the racecourse staff and vets, before and after their races to ensure the highest standard of care.

Thank you to all the team at Wilsford for their dedication and hard work, especially in this heat, and to all our lovely owners.

MORODER is fine after pulling up.

One goes to post for us today at Newton Abbot Racecourse where Zoe Catherine Louise will be leading up. It’s Zoe’s birthday today so it would be nice for her to lead up a winner!
It’s the 3.53pm where we run MORODER for owner Mrs Ann Leftley and James Best rides.
MORODER runs under ideal conditions today and sits 4lbs below his last winning mark. Now he isn’t getting any younger, but I think he will run a big race today, and hopefully gets his head in front. I might be biased but I think 10/1 is overpriced.
He won’t have it all his own way though, as every horse goes here with a live chance. I would love to see him win today and I’ve had a bet on him too.
Best of luck to connections and most importantly, horse and jockey to return safe and sound….Brett

Yesterday's Fontwell runners, Handmedownastar, Kentford Legacy and Chartwell Jock, out for a well deserved leg stretch and pick of grass early this morning before it gets too hot! 🥵⭐️
