The Trusted Game Assurance Scheme sets the standard for self-regulation across the game sector.

Covering breeding & hatching, rearing, releasing and shooting, the scheme provides a clear framework to support high standards, accountability, and responsible practices.

Audits are carried out by your vet, following a strict Trusted Game protocol — ensuring consistency, rigour, and sector-led assurance.

Now operating beyond a simple pass or fail, the scheme recognises achievement through Gold, Silver and Bronze standards — encouraging continuous improvement across the sector.

Demonstrating commitment.

Maintaining confidence.

Protecting the future of the sector.

Contact your vet to discuss more, or drop us a message — we’d love to hear from you.

As more poults are moved to wood and we have another heat wave this week, this post is worth sharing again. Remember that disease signs can be masked in this weather. Sometimes the only clinical sign, is when birds are scratching the feed out of the hoppers.

An old post but same weather.

An old post but same weather.

FEED SPILLAGE around the feeders

In warm weather birds don't always show clinical signs of disease.
Sometimes the only sign is feed scattered around the feeders.

It is also important to monitor water consumption to make sure birds are drinking enough. Birds could easily be drinking 30-50 % more in hot weather.

Many long hours have been spent creating and running the scheme, with the aim of improving the birds’ health and welfare for each site we see and for the benefit of the sector as a whole. Thank you to the NGO and Marsdens for the award.
