For anyone walking at Batchwood:

5 of our dogs were stung earlier today. Along a path in the woods leading from Toulmin field towards the golf course, where there is a fallen tree trunk (picture for reference). On the left side, in the trees. Don’t know if we inadvertently disturbed a nest - hornets?? But there were an awful lot of them!

Thank goodness for canine first aid training with Dog First Aid Hertfordshire and Central Bedfordshire!

Doggies were checked at the vets and are thankfully now fine.

Thanks to Heath Lodge Veterinary Surgery and Marshalswick Veterinary Surgery for seeing us so quickly.

I like to think that the dogs of rainbow bridge, will be lining up to greet the wonderful Paul O’Grady today. Waiting to welcome a beautiful man who did so much good for their kind. I like to think he will be rolling around with dogs he lost, dogs he saved and dogs who simply heard of his kindness. Covered in fluff, smothered in kisses and loved, loved loved.

Thank you for making us laugh till we cried and for making a true difference this side.
You will be missed, never forgotten and always loved.

Rest in peace wonderful man.
