The bestest boy for his 6 months check π©Ί....Bloods, urine and blood pressure π«ΆπΌ
Always nervous to see the results each time after his chronic kidney disease diagnosis 4 years ago, hes turning 18 next year and his blood results are looking really good π ππΌππΌ
I cant believe this is the little tiny 8 week old kitten i bought from a lady in windmill Hill when I was 17 with my first envelope of wages working in a cattery π₯Ή
πΎDid you know that regular blood pressures are are a vital part of early detection in diseases for pets, hypertension can be hidden or symptomless but can cause damage to other organs if not detected
π©Ί Its best to have their blood pressure checked from the age of 7 years old
π©Ί It is a simple non-invasive test just like when we have ours done at a GP surgery, where a cuff is lightly velcroed around their leg or tail and if not too stressful for the cat a small patch of fur is shaved off and the plastic ultrasound probe is applied gently over the artery to detect the sound waves, the cuff is then inflated until we no longer heard the sound waves and slowly deflated until the sound of the blood flow comes back and this then gives us the blood pressure reading.
