And with that, another year of Vanity Furr is complete 🥂 after working through an extremely busy month of pre-Christmas pampers we’ve now closed up for Christmas.
A humongous thank you to each and every person that has visited my salon this year, to all the ones who attended appointment after appointment on your regular schedules just to keep your dogs clean and looking their best. You make time and space in your busy lives to come to me to provide you with a service and my craft that I am so in love with more and more every day.
I will never be able to put into words how much this small business means to me and how amazed and proud I am of it and where we’ve got it to, but I’m only as good as the people I have around me and that includes all the incredible clients I have. I’m certain I have the best customers about, you all bring me so much happiness each day and treat me with such kindness it blows me away. Some of you have become some of my closest friends and I feel like we’re family. It’s amazing to be able to create such close bonds and we hang out and chat and do things outside of work it’s just so special. I know there’s some of you who have really been there for me this year, you’ve been really supportive and have given me some of the best advice and comfort myself and my family have needed.
I have clients that still come to see me even though their dogs have passed away years prior, they still visit me and they see me for a catch up and chats and we remain a constant in each others lives due to the bond and friendship we created.
Vanity Furr will be turning 13 years old next year, it’s hard to believe I was just 19 years of age when I started all this, you’ve seen me grow up and build this business up beyond my dreams.
Sadly being open this amount of time means we’ve sadly lost some beautiful dogs this year due to old age and it’s been heartbreaking. I’ll be thinking of you all whose little dogs won’t be with you this Christmas, my heart goes out to you all.
Christmas is a special time of year but I know it can be tough for many, but please don’t ever feel alone or struggle, I’m always here for anyone who needs me. 💫
I hope you all have a very lovely Christmas, and I hope 2026 brings you all lots of love, health and happiness. Stay safe everyone and give your dogs the biggest squish and kiss from me ❤️
Extra big thank you to Ellie, who without her the salon wouldn’t be the same. She does so well to keep up with me and the pace and standards that I set, she works so hard and does it without complaint (well, not many) 😉😄
And thank you to my mum (who you all treat with such kindness, take her out for coffees and lunches and pop in and sit and have cups of tea with her and our poodle Nina 😂)
My mum’s been looking after my dogs from 6am until 8pm, 7 days a week for the whole of December whilst I’ve been so busy in the salon. She’s the best mum in the world and my biggest fan ❤️
The salon is now closed until Tuesday 6th Jan, I can’t wait to see you all again soon for another fully booked year ahead!!! 🎉🥳 I will take the next couple of weeks to rest up and spend some quality time with my family and my amazing dogs. The dog in the picture is my special boy Rupert who will sit and wait for me to come through the front door, is there any better sight to come home to. Bless his heart ♥️
Lastly, thank you all for the generous gifts, cards and tips you’ve all given me this month I’ve been truly spoiled rotten you all go above and beyond for Ellie and I and we appreciate every single one of you more than you’ll ever know.
Love you all billions
