Spent a few hours helping a friend shear their sheep,
Four of us in 30 degree heat!! But it all gone done!!
The biggest thing is that I came home feeling happy and strong. A year ago, that wouldn’t have been the case, so I’ll take that as a win.

Now for the sore muscles tomorrow… 🐑💪😅

Really pleased with how the Hebridean girls and lambs are looking! Almost can’t believe how many we have now! When I think back to a few years ago and we only had 5….expansion!
Growing well, looking strong and I’m very glad they’re out of those fleeces with this heat we’re having ☀️🐑
Makes the long days worth it when the flock is healthy and thriving.

Still buzzing after the weekend. A lot of hard work goes into these events behind the scenes, so it’s nice when it all comes together and makes it feel worth it.

With this heat though, make sure you’re looking after yourselves as well as the livestock. Plenty of water, take breaks where you can, and keep an eye on stock in the warmer parts of the day ☀️💧

Ages ewe then went on to get reserve female champion 🩷🤍🩷
Hebrideans in Huge mixed primative classes (about 15/20 in each class)
Only entered the aged ewe an ram
❤️1st aged ewe
❤️1st aged ram
💙Male champion
🩷Female champion
💙🤍💙Reserve champion with the ewe
❤️🤍❤️And primative champion with the ram!

1st in a big native breed pairs class with the hebs and then went on to get reserve interbreed pairs too!
I honestly don’t think we will be able to top this weekend for a LONG time however I’m so unbelievably proud of our little flocks and hope that it’s not all down hill from here!!
