St Helen’s C of E School in Cliffe are holding their summer fete this Saturday and the silent auction has some great prizes donated.
The zip lining adventure and the Camacheiros restaurant vouchers are looking especially tempting - the food there is always excellent!
A lovely local event for a great cause.

We’ve had more fantastic donations from local businesses in Medway and Kent this week for our Silent Auction!

Today we are celebrating Hug Your Cat Day by giving our feline friends a little extra love.

At Snowy Vets we know that every cat has a unique personality. Whether they are lap‑lovers or proud independent souls, we are here to help you understand their behaviours, reduce stress, and keep them happy and healthy.

Learn your cat’s body language (twitching tail, flattened ears, turned‑away head).
Offer gentle pets only when they’re relaxed.

Consider a vet check‑up if your cat seems anxious or withdrawn.

Volunteer Week gives us the perfect chance to say a huge thank you to Joss, our amazing animal care assistant volunteer.

Joss comes in one day a week and truly goes above and beyond - tirelessly tidying consult rooms, cleaning, washing towels and bedding, covering reception and helping with inpatients. We are so grateful for all the time and hard work Joss puts in behind the scenes to help keep everything running smoothly.

We honestly couldn’t do without her. Thank you Joss, for being such a valued part of the Snowy Veterinary Centre team.

It’s National Microchipping Month

Ever wondered how microchipping actually works? It’s simpler than you might think:

Step 1: A tiny chip (about the size of a grain of rice) is placed under your pet’s skin. It holds a unique ID number.
Step 2: That ID number is registered on a database with your contact details.
Step 3: If your pet goes missing, a vet or rescue centre can scan the chip to see that ID.
Step 4: They use the ID to find your details on the database.
Step 5: You get the call every pet owner hopes for – your pet has been found!

It’s quick, safe, and can make all the difference.

Colin has been hard at work taste-testing some new treats for our patients and the verdict is very clear.
We have been sent a selection of treats, including freeze dried chicken breast and freeze dried quail egg yolks and they have gone down exceptionally well.
These treats are now available in our consult rooms for both cats and dogs, helping to make visits to the Vets a little more bearable (and a lot more delicious).
Keep an eye out next time you visit - Colin certainly approves!

Lets 'Shellebrate' World Turtle Day 🐢

Fun Fact: Green sea turtles have staged a remarkable recovery, rebounding from near extinction to global Least Concern status through decades of dedicated conservation.

Chris was lucky enough to spot Hawksbill sea turtles while snorkelling off Gili Trawangan in Bali and it was an unforgettable reminder of how special these animals are.
