Oil of the month: Vetiver

Not all essential oils are suitable for dog-friendly homes 🐾

That’s why, each month, I share one essential oil I carefully choose for Little Paws.

I use vetiver because it has a deep, grounding scent that supports calm environments when used gently and thoughtfully. Every oil I choose is carefully researched and selected with dogs in mind first , not just how it smells to us.

Why vetiver can suit dog-friendly homes:
• A soft, earthy scent when used correctly
• Often associated with calm, settled spaces
• Used in gentle blends with careful dilution
As always, balance matters. Dogs experience scent far more strongly than humans, which is why fragrances are kept light and considered.

Educational Fact:
Vetiver is one of the heaviest essential oils in scent profile, which is why only very small amounts are ever used in dog-friendly blends.

Today I treated myself to a lovely visit to Cova.
and honestly… what a gorgeous experience.
Not only is it beautifully relaxing, but it’s also dog friendly 🐾
There were dog bowls ready for visiting pups and I’m pretty sure if I had looked properly, I would have spotted dog treats too 🦴🐶
I had a lash lift & tint with Katie and she was absolutely excellent so professional, welcoming and clearly passionate about what she does.
Katie is also going to be teaching other students, which says so much about her talent and experience.
I would highly recommend visiting if you fancy a little self-care treat. I’m definitely going back because I now want to try The Kent Head Spa Ritual.
Please support local small businesses when you can, it really does mean the world to us 🫶
