Introducing Rocky!

At the amazing age of 13, Rocky came to see our registered veterinary nurse Karen at the New Foundry branch for a Health 360 Mature consultation.

This full health MOT included a blood sample which will check all of Rocky's bodily functions are working as they should, a blood pressure check, a urine sample and a full health examination.

Luckily, it looks like Rocky is in fantastic health for his age!

These checks are important to detect any changes or concerns early to ensure they can be treated and keep our loved ones wagging their tails a lot longer!

And because Rocky is a member of our Pet Health Club, his owners had the added bonus of a discount on this fantastic offer!

❌️❌️❌️❌️ Parvo Is Active In The Area ❌️❌️❌️❌️

We can confirm 3 positive Parvo cases in the area! Please be alert and aware of the symptoms.

* Vomiting.
* Diarrhoea (with and without blood).
* Lethargic.
* Generally unwell.
* High temperature.

***** Please be aware it can present differently but the above are the usual symptoms.
If your dog is NOT vaccinated every year please pay particular attention to your dog!

Meet the Team

Meet our clinical director Chris, who joined the practice in MAY 1995, so an incredible 31 years of service
Chris qualified from Liverpool University in 1988 and has been at Park Issa since 1995. Chris has gained a certificate in both Small Animal Surgery and Ophthalmology, a subject he is very interested in.

Outside of work he enjoys walking his dogs, cycling and horse riding. He has also recently completed a welding course in MIG welding and can now be found sticking bits of metal together whenever he has spare time.

Chris enjoys tandem cycling while on holiday with his partner.

Meet this super chilled girlie "Scratch".
Scratch came in to see Nurse Karen for a Wellness Screening appointment.
The Wellness Screening appointment is a fantastic tool to pick up any issues early that we pet parents may not be aware of.
The appointment offers a head to tail examination, blood test, blood pressure monitoring and urine analysis all for £95 and if your pet is a member of the PHC (Pet Health Club) you will receive a further discount (T&C apply). All appointments are performed by our highly trained Registered Veterinary Nurses.

The power of an up to date microchip. This little lady had been missing and her family were starting to lose hope they'd ever see her again 🥺

A lovely member of the public brought Lily in to see if she had a microchip as she'd been hanging around and eating bird food in the garden.

After scanning her and finding a microchip we ran the number through the system and found a match!

Lily's family raced to the surgery to be reunited ❤️

Sadly this doesn't always happen, a lot of microchips aren't registered by their owners to themselves or details aren't kept up to date.

Today was a happy day, Lily got to go home 😻❤️

Munchkin has gone missing and it is very unlikely him. Please keep an eye out and check your sheds/garages etc.
Owner is very concerned.
