Broken hearts everywhere 💔

It is with the greatest sadness that I write this today 😟

The main man Gadget has passed away and gone over Rainbow Bridge 😢🌈

After being diagnosed with cancer a while back, this little trooper just kept on going. Losing both his sight and hearing was tough on him, but he never gave up. He was quite simply the toughest dog on the block 💪💙

When the time came and there was a worry that Gadget may be in pain, his devastated owners made the most heartbreaking decision and unconditionally set him free. The kindest, most selfless gift they could ever give him, putting his needs before their own broken hearts 💔

Everybody knew Gadget 💙

His zest for life, his cheeky little smile and his unmistakable personality. He certainly wasn't your average grumpy Shih Tzu
and let's be honest, he was flipping gorgeous too 🥰

Gadget slotted in with the mini dogs and the big dogs, and I'm pretty sure he thought he was the boss of every single one of them! 😂

And then there were the girls 💕
Oh, Gadget loved the girls
Most of them loved him right back, although there were one or two who liked to play hard to get.
Naturally, those were his favourites. 😉

Yes, Gadget had a bit of a reputation around town. Had it not been for his early neutering, I'm fairly sure we'd have been completely overrun with little Gadget Juniors by now! 🫣🤣

He certainly embarrassed me on more than a few occasions,but that's Gadget for you. He lived life his way and he never failed to make his presence known 🙂
Gadget, you never failed to put a smile on my face, and on the faces of so many people around you 🙂

You were so very loved, and you were incredibly lucky to have had such a long life with the most wonderful family, who will miss you more than words can say ❤️
And we will miss you too, little man, very, very much 😢

Until we meet again, Gadget. 🌈
May you see clearly, hear every sound, run without a care and, knowing you, continue causing a little trouble wherever you go 😉

May you always walk beside us.

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful rescue dog ❤️

We think Callie is a border collie lab cross and her behaviours certainly suggest that she is.

Her humans wanted to get a plan in place to ensure she settles well in her new home 🏡

We looked at lead manners and recall and I very much look forward to seeing her again in the future once she is more settled🙏

She, of course reminds me of our old boy Sweep and she was such a treasure 😍🤩
