Equine Influenza – Biosecurity Measures

As you may already be aware, there has been an increase of confirmed equine influenza cases in parts of the UK.

To help minimise risk and maintain a safe environment for horses visiting and living at the centre, we urge competitors to observe the following protocols when visiting

*Check your horse before you travel to the centre – look for signs of fever, nasal discharge or coughing. Horses should NOT be brought to the centre if they are not in good health on the date of travel

*Ensure that your horse’s equine influenza vaccinations are up to date. We operates a 12-month vaccination policy and we ask that all equines visiting the centre are vaccinated

*Always travel with your horse passports. Please bring it to the secretary BEFORE unloading. Any horses with vaccinations that are not up to date will be turned away and entries will be lost.

*Minimise horse-to-horse contact wherever possible, in the lorry park, on walkways, and in the competition spaces

*Do not share equipment, such as buckets, grooming kits, tack, or water sources

*Competitors should not travel horses that have recently been in contact with any suspected or confirmed cases.

*Please keep your visit time minimal. Do not wander into the barns .

We have 2 DIY livery spaces from the 1st May . Individual turn out available or a space in our shared mares field that is currently in pairs . Hay and facilities included . Regular training , clinics and comps held onsite. Direct access to off road hacking . Huge shop and cafe open Monday to Saturday. Lorry and trailer parking on hard standing.
We are a friendly yard with no big egos . Lots of happy hackers . Well behaved kids very welcome.

We are a BHS approved livery yard and hold the highest standard of 5 stars with our council licence. We have 53 stables in American style barns,an Isolation block of 4 brand....

Upcoming clinic dates April and May
Open to everyone.
These dates are also BD Youth Squadding and rider tests or BD seniors. You can book through BD as well as letting me know.
Come and join me fun fun coaching sessions. Where you can work on things you want to improve, be it test riding, your position or a specific exercise. These sessions are open to all levels of rider's and their horses/ponies.
I also am available to come to a venue of your choice as a freelance coach.

We have x1 DIY space for a mare and x1 grass livery space in a small mixed herd

DIY LIVERY
Our DIY space is suitable for a mare. Great facilities , same s*x turnout in pairs and 3's . Large country store and café on site as well as regular shows and clinics. Assistance can be arranged.

GRASS LIVERY
This livery is for horses/ponies who are not in work as facilities are not included . Small mixed herd of various ages . No bullies and no hind shoes .
