💧 Water Height Above the Knee Joint? 💧

Setting the water level above the knee joint on an equine water treadmill can be hugely beneficial for horses needing increased engagement and strengthening work 🐴

This height is particularly suited to:

✅ Horses needing to build topline and core strength
✅ Sports horses improving fitness and performance
✅ Horses recovering from certain soft tissue injuries
✅ Horses needing improved joint flexion and range of motion
✅ Horses working on balance, coordination, and straightness

Water above the knee encourages the horse to lift through the shoulder and engage more through the body, creating greater resistance while still remaining low impact on the limbs and joints.

As always, every horse is different, and water height should be tailored to the individual horse’s needs, fitness level, and rehabilitation plan 💙

At the end of January this year, this incredible mare underwent kissing spine surgery… and today, she’s heading home! The video shows just a snippet of everything that she has been through over the last 4 months! 🧡

What a special journey this has been. I couldn’t feel more privileged to be such a huge part in her rehabilitation.

From those very first careful hand walks, through long reining, lunging, treadmill sessions, PEMF therapy, and regular physiotherapy, every stage of her rehabilitation has been approached with patience, dedication, and so much care.❤️‍🩹

Recovery like this is never down to one person… it takes a whole team of people putting in endless time, effort, and support to help a horse get back to feeling strong and confident again. We are so proud of how far she has come and so grateful to have been part of her journey. 🥹

Watching her grow stronger, happier, and more confident with every step has been so rewarding, and today is such a proud moment for everyone involved 🥰

Wishing this beautiful girl all the happiness as she heads home to continue the next chapter of her journey with her fantastic owner! 💪🏼🙏🏼

Great to see this super little stallion Noah winning his class at Royal Windsor Horse Show! 🥇💪🏼❤️

We absolutely love working with Noah on our water treadmill fortnightly and having his 30 minute spa in our Sea Salt and Oxygen room for that extra glow!🧂🌊🩵

First ride since kissing spine surgery, and I honestly can’t put into words how special this felt. A long road of recovery, patience, worry, and small wins… all leading to this moment. So proud of this incredible horse and so privileged to be a part of her journey! 🥰

Just taking it one step at a time, but today felt like a huge milestone! 💪🏼🥹🧡
