It’s been a difficult week tinged with huge sadness. Our finalists Gareth & Jack from Pupperazi Raw Pet Supplies & Dog Parlour lost their beautiful boy Helsinki after a terrible accident the previous week. Sending sincere condolences at this very sad and difficult time. 💔

QUESTION - Are winners notified before awards night?

ANSWER - Good question! For most of the marketing events they’re notified beforehand (sadly) — but with the Animal Star Awards a genuine awards series (which celebrate extraordinary animals and the people who help them) — finalists are invited to the ceremony, but they DONT know if they’ve won until the winner is announced on stage.

Organiser’s generally advise all finalists to attend, and then the actual winners are revealed during the event to keep the suspense and excitement genuine. It’s not quite the same if you receive a telephone call telling you that you’ve won and then inviting you to an event, especially if you then have to pay for your trophy, et cetera.

We don’t charge you for your award or certificate. We only ask you to purchase a ticket to the event.
