👻🎃 SPOOKY GOINGS-ON IN UPPER BASILDON! 🎃👻

Well, what a night our Genius classes had on Tuesday! 🌕🦇 There were ghosts, witches, spooky surprises and some VERY clever dogs!

We kicked off with scent walks under a FULL MOON 🌕🔍, with a few scary ghosts lurking along the way! 👻 Then it was time to turn up the fun with treat-bobbing, hoopla with witches’ hats, spooky photo opportunities and BUCKETS of challenges for our brilliant dogs. 🎃🧙‍♀️🐾

And of course, no Happipup get-together would be complete without treats! 🍰 Cake for the humans and delicious homemade sardine biscuits for our four-legged stars. 😋🐶

Honestly, who needs a night out when you can spend an evening like this with your dogs?! 😂❤️

A MASSIVE well done to all our Genius teams for throwing themselves into the fun. Learning, sniffing, problem-solving and having a brilliant time together — THIS is what Happipup is all about! 🥳🐾

And if you think dog training is all sit, stay and boring repetitions… think again! 😉

🎉 Tricks, tricks and more tricks! 🎉

We had a great tricks workshop with our Sunday Genius classes this weekend, and wow, what a talented bunch! 🐾 From ringing a bell to teaching our pups to read (yes, really! 📚), everyone did a fantastic job.

But tricks aren't just about showing off those clever skills! 🤩 They're brilliant for our dogs because they help build confidence, encourage problem-solving, provide mental stimulation and strengthen that all-important bond between dog and owner.

They also give us a great way to spend time together, have fun and celebrate all those little successes along the way. And let's face it, who doesn't love showing off a clever trick or two? 😉

A huge well done to all our Sunday Genius teams – you were brilliant! ❤️ We can't wait to see what you get up to next!

A HUGE thank you to Rachel Spencer and Patch for this lovely new home gift for Maggie Mae! 🥰🐾

Well, Maggie certainly didn’t need any help getting stuck into her Send a Dog a Bone treat box! 😂🐶 She was straight in there and clearly decided that this was one housewarming gift she wasn’t going to share… or was she?!

Of course, Gizmo wasn’t going to miss out on the celebrations, so he joined in too! 🎉🐾

🎃👻 Confidence building in our Genius class! 🐾

With Halloween and Bonfire Night just around the corner, we revisited some of our confidence games in our Genius class on Tuesday!

It’s so important that we keep building our dogs’ confidence all year round, helping them feel more comfortable when they come across something new or a little bit scary. 💛

But here’s the really important bit… we let our dogs explore in their own time and NEVER force them to engage!

Some dogs are straight in there, ready to investigate, while others need a little more time to have a good sniff, watch from a distance and work things out for themselves. And that’s absolutely fine! 🙌

By giving our dogs choice, time and space, we help them build confidence at their own pace. It’s not about pushing them to be brave; it’s about helping them feel safe enough to try when they’re ready.

Those little wins make a BIG difference! 🌟

🐾 Just a girl and her dog! ❤️

Now THIS is what we love to see! 😍 Brilliant loose lead walking from this lovely rescue, and just look at these two working together!

Building a great relationship takes time, patience and lots of little wins, and these two are doing just that. ❤️

There are so many happy adventures ahead for this family, and we can't wait to see their confidence grow as they continue learning together. 🐾

Little steps, big progress and a friendship that will last a lifetime! 💕

🐾 Maggie Mae Update! Two weeks in… and what a girl! 🐾

Well, it’s now been two weeks since Maggie Mae joined our family, and we’ve made some HUGE steps forward. We’ve also discovered just how cheeky this girl can be! 😂

💕 She’s now happy wearing a harness and is venturing out for short walks on the lead.

💕 Not a single accident in the house – what a superstar!

💕 She’s happily snuggling up with us and Gizmo, and they’re getting on famously.

💕 The cats are still a work in progress, but we’ve made progress there too… the chasing has stopped! 🐱 Phew!

But the BIGGEST discovery? Maggie Mae is a THIEF! 🤣

Clothes, shoes, keys… you name it, she’s probably had it! Her favourite game seems to be collecting our belongings and depositing them neatly on the sofa or bed. Very thoughtful of her, really – she’s just helping us tidy up! 😂

And trying to put things out of reach? Well, that’s proving a little tricky. Having witnessed her CLIMB A BOOKCASE, I’m beginning to suspect that this girl has some circus training in her past! 🎪🐶

For a girl who has never lived in a home before, Maggie Mae is taking it all in her stride, learning new things every day and showing us more of her lovely personality as her confidence grows.

We know there’s still a long way to go, and we’ll keep taking things at her pace, but we’re so proud of our girl. ❤️

Two weeks down… and who knows what this little circus act will get up to next! 😂

🐾 Out and About in Pangbourne! 🐾

It was so lovely to catch up with this fantastic group for another of our Happipup Out and About sessions – and best of all, we managed to dodge the rain! 🌦️🙌

We packed plenty into our session, working on:
🐶 Recall around other dogs – that ever-so-tricky distraction! 😂
👀 Disengagement skills – helping our dogs learn that exciting things don’t always mean they have to get involved.
☕ Calm while we chat – teaching our dogs to settle and relax while we stop for a natter on our walks.

We then finished with a lovely stroll through the village and, of course, a good old chinwag over coffee. Because training is about so much more than the exercises – it’s about building confidence, enjoying time together and being part of our wonderful Happipup community. ❤️

Huge well done to everyone! You’re all doing a brilliant job, and we can’t wait to see you at our next adventure! 🐾🐕
