Unfortunately we have had a black cat brought to us this morning who was found deceased on Chalkpit lane.

Local residents had noticed this cat on prior occasions and had been offering them food, but was never able to get near them.

Please contact us if you think this may be your cat, unfortunately they do not have a microchip so some details have been omitted to aid with the identification process.

🐾 Iggy’s success story 🐾

Iggy, a wonderful guide dog, came to see our vet Farid in January after suddenly developing several swollen lumps. During the consultation, Farid performed needle biopsies which were sent to the laboratory for analysis.

The results unfortunately showed that Iggy had lymphoma — an aggressive cancer of the lymph nodes which can have a prognosis of only a few weeks if left untreated. Thankfully, recent advances in veterinary medicine mean that this condition can often be treated with chemotherapy.

Iggy now visits us every week for blood tests and chemotherapy treatment. After completing his first five weeks of treatment, Iggy is back to his lively self! His lymph nodes have returned to normal, and we’re delighted to say he is now in remission. 💙

Here you can see Iggy patiently waiting for his treats while our nurse Sophie administers his chemotherapy. He has been the bravest patient and always brings smiles to the team.

Iggy’s story is a great reminder to always check any lumps and bumps you find on your pet. If you’re ever worried, it’s always best to book a consultation and have them checked by your vet.

We see just as many cats as we do dogs — although persuading a cat to pose for a photo is definitely more of a challenge! 🤭

Willow and Jake enjoyed a fuss from everyone when they visited!

Willow had her booster vaccinations and Jake has his interim health check. Both of which are included in our Medivet healthcare plan, so there was nothing to pay on the day as all the costs are spread out over a monthly direct debit!
